    15th century ranges a lot depending on early middle or late and where you are located. early 14th were more basenets and kettle helms. late were sallets etc.

    i am wondering if there is not a translation issue here. the word for armour being turning into plate where it should mean mail etc.

    that is really early for real "plate". topof helmets, really there just head coverings with face masks. then come the knees say 1240s/50s with better helmets that cover everything. then the shins get covered etc.

    helmet is sudo german.
    overcoat looks like french with russian influence but german colors
    ammo pouches look like Austrian
    shovel looks like a leather covered ww2 american
    pants, boots and puttees could be german or anyone for that matter, can't see the bottoms to tell.
    pack sorta looks like german influence

    i know of no such animal in period. a lot think it is just the hauberk with a front and back split. itf it was tied around the legs you could not walk properly. even more so you could night ride at all.
