no its not. it is taken from a 1-2 year old morrowind effect(maybe also done by him, anyway, i uses the tecnique from there long ago before oblivion came out, but not with m&b since a few days ago).

whoot ? you can produce such screen as my with the oblivion hdr version ? this would mean that my work was worthless, but possible it is, can't say that. Got my shader done before those generic version was out.

the mod wont change any variables of the game. so this error could in my opinion not come from the shader.

anyway, i have a strange thought : maybe it only works with the demo ? dont know why, but on 4 different Pcs without full version it runs just fine....

edit : think about it, i came here to present a shader, somebody would maybe like(in fact, i think many would like it, if they had seen it in real). But instead of that nobody ask about it or anythng, only flaming about a virus, that is not inside, was here in the thread. Why do you think i should come here again ? do i get something here ? respect ? no, nothing. Only accusions. I don't need my time to counter them.

its the same, only the calls into the shader have other names(function names). thats why it may very few bytes. ok i shouldn't have written "100%"

on the connect thing, i dont know, maybe microsoft does this, maybe not, but its 100% not from me.

i said he should disable antivirus only cause it may checks how the dll is loaded and cause of this it wont load, but never to let any virus or something through it.

he dont checked the files for viruses. only you did(at least you say so). but he cares about and thats ok.

now the only thing i want : somebody WITH BRAIN(somebody who dont flamed me before !) plz check my files with a scanner or whatever and tell the forum : is there a virus or not ?

of course there is no, but this is the only possibility to save the trust. and yes, if there is no virus, Cymro  must be banned for telling such lies about a serious topic ! Every mod who wont do that, will open doors for such aggressive ways to destroy mod-work.

ok i know you don't like me or the mod but tell Lies about it ?

anyone serious plz check it. There is no thing that connects to internet. At least not from me, maybe the original d3d9.dll has stuff inside(from microsoft that does this)

check the d3d9.dll in your system32 folder too, plz and see if it does the same. Ok Cymro was allways agains me, so i cannot trust you, but someone else else plz check it to prove ITS NOT connecting to internet.

also, it would stop by your firewall, if there was something, but it isn't.

but ok, Cymro concratulations in destoying the new graphics with telling lies. But you can decide to trust : the guy who is agains me from the very first second, or make your own mind.

enough for now, makes me really sick. Dump people telling lies to harass other, who did hard work 

edit : also i can provide you hundrets of links to this dll from other games, where this tecnique is used to load shaders, oblivion, morrowind which i know, use 100% the same dll, and NEVER anybody got viruses. Strange, he ?

yes, thats when the some stuff happens,like speaking with someone. I can't do anything to avoid this from outside.
Also the fade is only when starting the game and will never come again, so this should really not be a problem.

its no virus or something inside, it also don't act like a virus UNTIL 1 moment when its executed. That's the point where your virus scanner may complain, but as i said, it only executes the hdr code with this and does NOTHING else. It also unloads fully after quitting m&b.

if you run a virus scan BEFORE starting m&b or afterwards it will never be scanned, of course, cause it's not like a real trojan.

anyway, you know fraps or the fps shown by omega drivers for ati or any screen capture software ? They act 100% the same way ! nobody would call them trojan

definatly, but what you see here is the best function you can get from outside the game, if you want to play with acceptable frames.

the shader is actually nearly the same(who wonders, its a common hdr after effect one), but the way to implent is an other.

it is, really, as is said in last thread, this shader goes a trojan way. It uses an other d3d9.dll to execute code(the shader.fx file) that normally would never been executed. But its actually the only way without sourcecode. you can turn off norton, its really secure, there are similar other shader effects done by the same method for many other games.

edit : when it only crashes or some other crazy stuff happens, plz let me know which graphics card you are using.

that may be the problem.

normale it SHOULD crash, to unload it from the memory, thats why it wont load another time i think.

you'll may test it again and afterwards look press ctrl+alt+f4 and look if you see the m&b exe(should be between 100 and 300mb of memory). If yes, end it, your ram is free and it should start again.

how to use :

- unpack both files in your m&b directory right near the m&b exe
- start m&b exe, the shader is automatically loaded
- press "h" the toogle the hdr effect
- be prepared that the game will crash on exit or alt+tab, but thats not really a problem i think.

- to uninstall, simply delete the 2 files.

to make the hdr effect brighter or darker : open fakehdr.fx(the name is, because its 8bit and hdr is 16/24bit) with any editor.
change the line
"static const float HDRScale = 0.000;"
to maybe
static const float HDRScale = 5.000;
to get it darker and
static const float HDRScale = -3.000;
to get it brighter.

cant do that at all(its allready max).

also this is not what the fx file does :

first its checks the average light of the screen,
then makes the screen even darker
and then lightens up the parts that have a bright color, by an amount calculated from the avg light.

thats why dark colors even get darker and bright colors get these "glow"-white on them.(you noticed the armor and helmet of the arena screenshot ?)

in fact all is more faded into white rather then turn only the rgb values higher.

of course it cannot be compared to real hdr maybe from lost coast or oblivion ! i'm not as perfect as them.
Also it is after effect and not effected by realtime light/lightshaders or something AT ALL.

its an afterrendering effect, like antialiasing or such stuff. Just like if you try to edit a screenshot in photoshop, but in realtime !

if you don't like it, ok, but plz stop thinking i'm here to fake it. As i sayd : if its not wanted official, i will post a DL for the (buggy) trojan dx method.

how can he find a code online i did myself ? afaik i don't think there are any free hdreffects online somewhere which you simply can include.

i changed contrast in irfanview.

if i change contrast in driver it looks quite similar.

if you got another method for it plz tell me how and present a picture.

ever tried living with around 50$(150$-90$ for room-80$ each 6 month for study) each month ? Do that, than you know. I dont bought any game in the last 3 years, nor did i played cracked ones(yes you read right, i'm NOT a gamer, i'm a programmer). my hardware is worth about 200$ buyed over the last years. So dont come to me with money ok ?

why is black still black and no grey ? why does only bright stuff get even brighter ? i will bring you a pic with only brightness set up and one with hdr to compare. If you then dont see it, go get glasses.
