  1. This game sucks

On the contrary, I find it quite fun and addictive.

It's also worth mentioning that Taleworlds invented a whole subgenre, as M&B clones are an actual thing.
  2. Resolved Scrolling wheels of misery

No worries, happy to hear it's being worked on.
  3. Resolved Scrolling wheels of misery

Deleting shaders directory + tilesets\pages also failed.
  4. Resolved Scrolling wheels of misery

I tried deleting the shaders and it did not fix it.
  5. Resolved 1.5.8 After todays hotfix there is a serious case of black face going on

Same here, it started with textures failing to load and ended up with everyone looking like they crawled down a chimney.

I'm glad this is a patch issue and not mods or graphics card failure.
  6. Huge Army Battles

I find once I had about 60+ bow skill they always give me command of the archers.
  7. The whole "buy horse to level up troops to horsemen" thing is illogical

    Cavalry is actually pretty sucky

    This is what gets me.

For all the hassle involved in making a full death stack of Vlandian knights they really don't perform that well. Historically the value of heavy cavalry was the morale shock. Watching a horde of armored monstrosities thundering towards you would make most men piss their pants and run. I don't know how well morale is implemented in the game--some troops do flee while others stay and fight--but that's the key to making a cavalry army awesome.

If a well-disciplined infantry could withstand the initial charge, the cavalry usually got chopped up. So just making them numerically superior isn't the right fix.
  8. Live battles = slowly killing your kingdom?

It's possible to turn off? I didn't see that option.
  9. Recruit noble troops from castles only!

Another way castles could be more useful is if they generated defensive scout patrols that searched the surrounding area for bandits/enemy armies.
The Improved Garrisons mod does this and it is awesome.

I recall in Warband your garrisons would help if you fought battles near your castles but this doesn't happen in Bannerlord. It's a bummer.
  10. Exploiting Siege Engines as a defender

Retreat on siege defense really doesn't make sense.
I like doing defense missions but no one wants to sit around in a castle waiting for an attack. Maybe some kind of early warning "enemy army is heading for your castle." More intelligence for enemy movements would be nice.
  11. A realistic Zone of Control is actually very easy to implement without increasing complexity

A more abstract solution would be to base armies out of towns or castles, which each castle say supporting 1 army while towns support 3. Then the further you get from your support town the more cohesion you lose until your army falls apart. That would incentivize monkey-branching from castle to castle instead of leapfrogging all over the place. Since sieges can take awhile factions would need to grab nearby castles to support their armies before settling down for a town siege.
  12. Strugia always lose

In my game Sturgia are doing fine, holding their own against Vlandia no problem.
  13. Patch 1.1.0. WHAT. WERE. YOU. THINKING. ABOUT?!

So how exactly did you assume French didn't hate the English after that incident?

The problem in the current game is executing the French makes The English (aka your friends) hate you. Which is dumb.

I agree it's done for balance reasons because the game uses Lords as the focal point for all game actions, without a system to replace fallen lords the player could end up with a very lonely world. But then they should just remove the option to execute altogether.

If the game gives you an option but makes the penalty for using it so severe you never use it, why even put it there?

This isn't real life, nor is it a representation of reality

This is the problem with arguing with people on the internet, they never try to debate your point, instead they argue something you never actually said.
  14. Patch 1.1.0. WHAT. WERE. YOU. THINKING. ABOUT?!

it makes perfect sense for there to be relation loss on doing it.

Not really. Didn't you ever read of the battle of Agincourt?

Destroyed an entire generation of French nobility.
  15. Leadership stuck at 35. Help!

A lot of skills, XP, and perks seem bugged right now.

I recommend playing a different game and checking back on this one in a year or two.
  16. Does the Bannerlord map make sense, when compared to that of Warband?

Eh, I'm impressed the land mass matches that closely at all.
