  1. Caravan escort mission is problematic

Well, there are many things broken with the game, but I haven't had any issues with Escort missions. First of all, caravans travel really, really slowly. You must have been overburdened or something. Make sure you dump all the excessive cargo when doing this mission. Also, buy some mules, but just as much as to balance your party number, because if you have more than that, then it goes up into the "herd" category, which further slows you down. You need to have as many mules as needed but not more.

Also, buy some cheap horses for your foot soldiers. They won't fight on horses on the battle map but if you have as many horses as you have a footman in the party it gives you a very good bonus too.

And at last, do have a decent scout in the party (or appoint yourself as a scout). If you do all these Escort The Caravan missions are one of the best in the game. I usually make good money by trading together with my caravan, buying and selling in towns we visit and attackers drop decent loot as well (well, in comparison to usual looters anyway). And the salary isn't bad usually... merchants pay good money per day of travel.
Do you think i am playing this game for the first 5 minutes? i know all the stuff you mentioned and implement it if possible but nothing from what you sad addresses even one of my points. So just stop it.
  2. Caravan escort mission is problematic

Playing on 1.5.4. So i took my second caravan escort mission and interesting string of event happened. First caravan decided to run across the whole map ignoring at least 3 cities that it ran by. So it costed me 5k in wages in early game to follow it. It runs faster then me and this idiots...
  3. Lamellar gear nerf

Now chain mail boots are better than royal empire decorated boots? I don't know who is doing these changes but they make no sense. A Germanic saddle with a blanket is now the highest armor for horses in the game beating chain mail and lamellar full coverings? Some of this is just absurd.
Well let's hope they will figure out values first and then shuffle visuals around to make sense. But if they fail - well we have mods in that case.
  4. Ladder / Siege Tower AI should be a higher priority

    QFT

The only siege towers we should have are the ones with ramps until this crap gets fixed.
Cant agree more on this. It looks like AI operates siege towers with ramps just fine. But they are so rare. Also being able to know layout and what type of towers we will get before going into the map would be huge quality of life improvement.
  5. Ladder / Siege Tower AI should be a higher priority

That's why i now use trebuchets to kill walls and just walk in as if it is regular battle - i am fed up with AI in sieges. It makes Sieges completely stupid and not fun.
  6. Clean crosshair

Press R and fire in first person.
there is a big problem with fp aiming - you have to aim very differently by height.
  7. Ninja casualties in sieges?

where all those men yours ? If not the AI leaves some men in the castle to protect it if im not mistaken
None of them were mine - that was confusing. It sounds right - i will have to check numbers on that next time.
  8. Ninja casualties in sieges?

I had 700 men in army, went to storm the city, lost 10 dead + 20 wounded, got back to map and there was just 600men + 20 wounded. Is there a visual bug somewhere cause i was building trebuchets and having siege engines battle before storming the city or is it just 70 ninja dead? I noticed this...
  9. Clean crosshair

You could drop it with G key
well yes but it is not very convenient to do so and then pick it up of the ground every time i move, not to mention time to switch, then drop, then switch back to bow, then pick it up.
  10. Clean crosshair

    use the force
i am using the force but still
  11. Clean crosshair

Sometimes when i am aiming with a bow and have a polearm behind my back polearms blade gets in crosshair so it's really hard to aim also it usually is an angle thing and it even drifts away at times - it is still really annoying. Can we carry it on the side or something?
  12. Whats up with the recruitment of specialized troops in 1.5.4 ?

Well you still have kind of a work around: capture bandit prisoners, recruit them and then upgrade them with disciplinarian perk. As of 1.5.3 a lot of bandits were upgrading into "noble" troops. This is not an answer to your question but a good way to add some quality stuff to an army even if u can recruit noble recruits from villages.
  13. Vanguard option

no worries... i might seem a bit to harsh at times to i can admit that  But im rather direct then beating around some bushes. Because i have no time looking for lost rings in the process
Yea you are so fast that you don't even understand wtf you are even talking about. So i recommend you take some time reading and thinking about topics before brining yourself into discussion cause to also be direct you look really dumb. Just a friendly observation.
  14. Vanguard option

Who said anything that i was smart or funny ? You sir seems fishy to me or youre taking it to personal right now
    Yep. Good you understand that.
  15. Vanguard option

well if you didnt had the intelligence to figure out the tip Apocal gave you then its not my fault is it ? This seems to me just about pushing agendas even if i like the ideas of you totally controlling other armies, i dont like it in another way since youre an commander not some puppet master,
Also you leading a 700 man group in the first months seems a bit to unlikely,. If you want to chase something disconnect from the army then come back
Dude you are not smart. And you are not funny also. Just drop it and go shine you "intelligence" some other place - we are trying to improve the game here and you cant even understand that i am talking about 2 separate occasions: one - when you are chasing looters in the first month game time and second - years of game time when you are leading armies. Do i need to make it even more obvious or do you understand now?
  16. Cavalry in Sieges

Imagine using the hideout selection for siege engines/ladders.
Yea that would help a lot. Especially if we can also chose order of them coming in waves.
  17. Vanguard option

In works fine in vanilla. Make sure you are targeting the party (it should say, "Chasing X's Party" on your status) then go to the Clan screen, Party tab, "Create Party." Select a companion or family member in your party presently and give them some mounted troops (tier doesn't matter, only being mounted). They'll appear on the map and immediately go after the party you have targeted.

I am not sure if this is intended functionality, but it is how I've been using my clan parties to snag faster parties/armies.
Well i presume this is not intended functionality LOL. But this is super useful. Although it requires you to have always one party slot open to do this maneuver so you are sacrificing one party from your clan and kingdom as a price for it.
Will you always be able to put them back in your main army after battle or will they sometimes just run off?
  18. Vanguard option

then you have an excellent scout...duh!! Why do you want to chase looters in the first place when you have an 700 man army ? This smells something rotten in the state of Denmark. But sure im not judging...if you want to rp Sheriff of Nottingham im all down for that
because this option will be helpful in the first game month when you are still farming looters as well as when you are leading 700 men army and you want to engage that pesky 50-60 men party that is fallowing you. was it so hard to separate those 2? did it require godly amount of intelligence?
  19. Vanguard option

You can already do this by forming a small (15-50) party of all-mounted troops under one of your companions. They'll beeline straight for your target and engage, as long as you are close enough to support them.
Isn't this a mod functionality? How does it work in vanilla? Can you give your companions such orders?
  20. Vanguard option

Buy more cheap horses (no pack horses) for your infantry men...problem solved
Oh what a smart comment.... And how will it help when i am leading an army of let's say 700 men? And even when i have one horse for every footmen i have - this will still help in some cases. Not to mention in cases when you don't have enough horses this will help A LOT.
