I didn't realise that my FPS was actually classed as being high. I asked in-game and other people with lower specs were reaching much higher than me so it was making me wonder, I guess the game just isn't made to handle such large scale maps with high amounts of players, I just wish their was a fix the games mod is lots of fun but it feels too laggy when in combat compared to Native and NW etc

Is there any chance it's CPU bound and bottle necking it somehow? It might explain why the graphics changes make such little difference?

All bodies disappear when they die so I don't think it's that, and I have an i7 3.2ghz, 6gb ram, Radeon5850 (dated but still handles most things fine) and I'm running windows 7 x64

I've never had issues with games and turning down the graphics sorts any fps issue, but I am trying to change everything and it's making literally no difference, I can turn all the settings off or have them high and it still gets the same FPS

I'm having similar issues with my gunshots. I still haven't found a fix for it

Keep me posted if you find a way round the sound issues and I'll do the same if I do

Everything works fine besides the mp_arrow_hit_target sound
Either with a fresh install or with modified sounds, it's still the same

It didn't work. I've reinstalled everything

It lets me add new custom sound packs, edit my crosshair etc. but the hit sound just won't work at all. it's in the right place, and i've tried using the standard and custom sound, but to no avail

The only option is to remove melee all together

Modding the original game to make something different is a MOD (Like NW did with M&B). DLC is downloadable additional content. DLC can be free or cost. a mod can be free or cost. the cost of something doesn't define what it is.

It's not additional downloadable content for the original game, it's a complete modification of it.

So I think it's a mod that you pay for. and with that, I will stop posting here

So any game that starts as a mod then becomes B2P, switches to DLC? what about free DLC? is that a mod..? no. it's downloadable content for the original game. for example. L4D2 has a new DLC coming out in a week or 2. that's free for the PC.

NW is a modification of the original M&B, which means it's branching from the original and is a completely different thing. it's not additional content (like adding more factions to M&B etc)

If they started charging for DayZ MOD for Arma II, I wouldn't class that as DLC, i'd say that was a Buy to play mod.

The file location is in the M&B mods folder in steam, it's still a mod. just one you have to pay for

It's basically just a more polished M&M mod

I can see where you're coming from, but it doesn't seem to be a rare thing, I can 1-hit anything from horseback and on foot, 1-hitting people seems to happen quite often, and the light sabre is a lot faster than a heavy one

Rifles have a delay on their shots, don't run, left click and expect to pop a sniper shot off, although the reticule doesn't change much while moving, it causes a delay to shots being fired, which will often throw off your accuracy as you're aiming for that one moment, not for when the shot finally does go off. So make sure you have the gun aimed and have waited a short amount of time before letting rip on the enemy (1 second is enough)

And by that time, people will often have spent all the points of barricades 

23, and I see an obvious correlation between people's ages and the time played Poll. I remember being able to get in from school and play games all evening til bed time. Now it's so difficult trying to juggle things like work, Life, Living with your girlfriend.
