I was able to use the speak with guild master and village elder using tweakMB. But after the update of Warband to 1.26 it no longer works.

I'm hoping there's a new way to do it soon, running all through town gets old.

That's helpful, thank you. How large are your battles (battle size number)? It seems sometimes I don't have enough time to get my troops set up before the enemy arrives.

Also, do you use two different types of cavalry and infantry to get two different groups? I haven't seen if there's a way to split the same class. I've just been using one top tier, and one 2nd top (like Swadian Knights for Cavalry 1 and Men at Arms for Cavalry 2).

I guess two top tier from different nations would be best.

It is one per town in my experience. If you ask to do another, the Guild Master says there are not enough resources or something along those lines.

It's a nice feature and helps to get some income going early on in the game.

Does anyone know a way to mod it when married so there is a speak with wife option when you first go to your castle, similar to speak with guildmaster or speak with village elder tweaks?

Great advice here. Do any of you happen to have screen shots of the formations? A shot of the map (backspace) would be great.
Also, how do you command your archery troops while defending during a siege? At the start they seem spread well to good points in the castle. Is it just a matter of making different groups and placing them at the points you want them?

Thanks for the reply. I thought that might be the solution, but it doesn't seem to work for me whether lance control is auto, manual easy or manual hard.  I haven't figured out yet which weapons can be couched, but I'm guessing it's just the lances.

I'm getting better at just using it to thrust to get the results I need, but am still curious what others use.

I'm new to Warband, though I played M&B for awhile. A favorite weapon of mine was the iron staff which was great for prisoner collection. In M&B I could use it couched on horseback quite nicely. However, it doesn't seem possible on Warband.

Is there a list somewhere that's updated for Warband that shows what weapons can be used for couched damage?
