    Well that just validates my theory. Obviously it's not that they don't like you, it's that they can't stand to be around you. I know bathing isn't common in the 1200s, but just imagine how much you smell. Gentlemen, I think we've got this one solved.

    Very good idea. Except that spice is one of the most valuable commodities and that would be wasteful. Maybe just rub yourself on your horse a bunch?

    I too found this thread and just started reading it yesterday. All caught up now. I'm kind of disappointed as now I have to wait in anticipation to see what happens next and since I lack patience that's hard to do. That's why I often wait until the end of a season to watch television shows so I don't have to wait a week between episodes to see what happens next  :grin: Silly I know.

    Anyway, my point is that I'm enjoying your AAR and it has taught me a lot about how to play the game as well (which I just started a couple of days ago). I do hope you keep it up!

    LOL. Don't worry, I'm not discouraged. I certainly don't have the patience to invest that much time into any game though. No, I was just saying it *IS* technically possible. You're right though, it's just not realistic for pretty much anyone.

    Now you get 244 exp for killing a top tier troop (more for knocking lords unconscious, but for the large part we can ignore them since they are so comparatively rare). This means you need to kill more than 640000 top tier troops in battle. Assuming that every single troop you kill happens to be a top tier troop, and assuming that you kill about 50 troops per battle (which is a very generous estimate), you need to get into (& presumably win) about 12800 battles. Assuming that you get into one of these battles every 5 minutes and that each battle takes 5 minutes (quite a conservative estimate), you would need to spend more than 128000 minutes, or ~2130+ hours. If you literally didn't sleep, eat, or **** and played 24 hours a day, you would make that in about 90 days.

    So yes, you can make the max level without cheating... but you really can't.

    Thanks for doing the math, that is awesome. Only 2130 hours at minimum, lol.

    But c'mon, like I said, if you were truly patient enough it could certainly be done. You don't have to play 24 hours a day. In fact, using your estimate, if you were to play for 4 hours a day it would only take you about a year and a half to reach that level. See, that's not so bad :shock: Just takes serious dedication.

    It sounds like in theory you should be able to play long enough to acquire those stats without cheating though. Just no one has yet had the patience to do so.

    Wow, while I can understand the thinking behind that, it also sort of sucks. Must make starting your own fact that much harder. Unless of course I suppose you start your own faction and use those troops to take out every other faction first.

    I'll probably still experiment with it, but I won't build a recruitment strategy on the idea.

    What if I start my own faction? Then are my troops part of my faction so they wouldn't take a morale hit? Or would all my non-neutral troops take a morale hit because I'd be at war with all factions?
