This is the only option I've turned off because I got tired of having gimp companions. I'm not sure if they restore with the option off though

I was playing around with different cheats and ran into this same problem when I ctrl+alt+F4 during a battle. More than likely just an overload of text.

I've had the same issue since the last Warband update. Until it get's fixed I'm pretty much stuck with whatever I can loot from mercs.

Thanks for that back story; knowing the inspiration behind the sword makes it all that much more awesome.

I like having a good balance of troops, but that may be because this is still my first play through for this mod and haven't really had a chance to find what troops I like. In the mean time my tactics from Warband seem to be holding up fairly well:

• At the start of the battle have everyone follow me
• Find some open space to set everything up
• Tell Inf. to advance ten, and Arc. the fallback ten, then spread out
• Have everyone hold their fire and wait

Once the enemies initial charge is in the kill zone I have everyone fire at will and my Cav. charge in behind the volley. I'll skirt around back and take out a few of their ranged units and have the Cav. fall in on me again, which gets the AI to turns it's back on my Inf. and also sandwiches it at the same time. Now I have my Inf. and Cav. charge for one last time and clean everything up.

I'm sure once the Dark Knights show up I'll start looking for a more vicious sword; for now though this one not only gets the job done, it makes me look cool too.

Yeah, after tearing the cities apart looking for more chests I looked it up and saw this was the only one left. Still pretty sweet though, I'll be using this weapon for a long time coming.
