    I Vote papa,

    He is always neutral and objective. He isn't associated with a clan to induce bias whenever conflict arises. He endorses fair warning of the rules rather than blind ban spamming like previous admins have been observed doing. In the end, his motives are for a greater oceanic warband community, which I like to see in my admin/leader/supreme overlord.

    I think members should be careful when accusing Keen members of actions done by aliases. Trouble is that Keen have dug themselves a bit of a hole with the aliases. Really, the aliases can be anyone having a good day (skill wise). Play well, saying a few words characteristic of Keen (e.g., Gleetz, hailz, etc), and before you know it the server thinks they're Keen. Someone could take advantage of this ease of imitation so I would advise against automatically assuming an alias is Keen.

    Me - 6 out of 8 times I got de-horsed. Often I couldn't even get close . (However at range your archer's weren't accurate)

    I wish I had the money to try heavy cav against you guys.

    I hope Kos do join the 7v7. I think not joining it just because it was run by keen is quite silly. It's a good system to facilitate matches between clans.

    I believe the reason why Rawr hasn't signed up is because matt only got the website from me last night. Hopefully the team will be up soon.

    I think we should drop the topic now. Resentment is strongly present in a lot of people's text, people are trying to be civil but as this progresses similar themes keep arising that are only causing more grief (who's fault, who was going to win, etc).

    Personally I think we should still battle dojo, maybe not the same map because for now it's association with the "incident" is too fresh.

    Lol? Do you really believe this text? People are not just angry for "not being able to kill the person", people are angry for waiting and waiting, losing illegitimately, and because they feel they are not having as much fun as they should.  Raoul makes a strong point that on maps such as village if someone is trying to hard to hide from you then its highly improbable to find them in the allocated time. Think about it, can you really expect a battle to revolve around "trying to make sure you scout and watch every single hiding spot, INCLUDING outside the map" while you are trying to defend the village? Yeah that's fun... totally defeats the purpose of the game.

    Backing away is not the same as running away. I back up when i fight but if ppl are chasing you they will catch up (as wlaking backwards is slower than running forward) and you'll have to fight. Running away is when your back is turned and your just heading for the hills, ppl cannot catch up to you.

    Even if there are arguements over it, there are heaps of arguments now when it happens so the situation can only get better.

    Apparently there is alot of hate flying around atm over what happend, to those dishing it out get over it, acting like a **** while playing an online game doesnt prove your better than anyone, all it does is drive ppl away from the game.

    To those on the recieving end, really.... its the internet, this is the **** that happens, people are going to troll you regardless. Just ignore them or if you enjoy a heated exchange get stuck into them. Its just text, sure its distracting but it doesnt mean anything, some guy sitting in front of his computer on a friday night thinks your a *****, who cares. I am civil when i play games because it takes less energy than being a troll, how the fk can anyone enjoy playing a game while they're typing 1/2 the time, how much gratification can you get from giving yourself a pat on the back for bagging someone? out honestly?

    lets analyse this and see whats actually happening. hes riding off into the sunset so he can get a draw and not lose a point for his clan, giving the clan another chance to score. ask yourself, why are you mad at this? the first thing that comes to mind is "because its slowing down the game". thats true, it does slow down the game, it makes you killing him take longer. hang on, isnt that whats making you mad? the fact that you wont be able to kill him? thats really all thats wrong; youre just mad because you cant kill him. know WHY youre mad before you start venting your anger at the other clan. none of you did. its a legitimate tactic. maybe focus your strategy on not letting them escape, mmmmmh?

    There are many reasons why in my opinion it should not be done, at the top of my head:

    1. Makes the game less fun
    2. In a real battle it would be considered a retreat and therefore a loss
    3. It drags the game out heaps
    4. It robs the (in my view) legitimate winner of the round of a win
    5. It increases resentment between the clans, provoking more spiteful tactics such as these, and thus ruining the game for everyone

    Also, pretty hard to make sure they "don't escape" if you're the defender.
