Due to the delay I now also use lances to actually stab with - especially in keeping close to take out archers who also have heavier infantry protecting them (so also the need to keep distance). The lighter lances (and especially having a Balanced version) are better for this kind of activity - jousting lances are slower and do less damage.
If you normally just switch to a sword or whatnot then it probably doesn't matter as much.
Yeah follow. Or, manually click them around the map, having them make runs past the enemy lines. Against infantry armies with few archers you can kite this way.
So, is there a definitive Right to Rule guide yet? Including the companions' stances on various policy (and which of the other companions they disagree with)?
Oooh! That's good to know. So that means I know where to chase them down while they still only have a few guys protecting them? How do we know what the capital is? Eg say Praven has been taken.
Ok, I've got a curly one about those long gruelling battles where you are attempting to wipe out a faction.
What exactly happens when you beat an enemy lord and they escape you?
What happens to their troops when they reappear? If I'm using blunt weapons does that mean more of their troops will survive and be with them when they come back at me?
Oh I dunno. Try poking the pointy end into the enemy a few times (I'd probably recommend staying away from the double ended ones until you get the hang of this tactic).
Props.
I just have to say you guys are awesome and keep up the good work. This thread is always good for a bit of a laugh due to the zany *****fighting antics that go on in here.
Um, please don't take this as rude and I mention this just for the purpose of explicitity and clarity: We of course take it as read that participants using teamspeak (etc) won't be in contact with anyone spectating.
(Not that it probably matters that much in Warband, but hey.)
If there was shield bash i would have no problem, its understandable..but a kick, come on.. I have searched high and low for any proof of kicking in battle (not including unarmed -_-)
Please link me to some information if someone knows of some
For what it's worth, kicking is one of the traditional ways of dealing with an annoying shield. Ie you kick an edge (usually the bottom) and if they are naff they will overbalance or their grip on the shield will momentarily falter.
...but randomly kicking people, well I'll leave that question for others to field.
