I recently finished watching the 2 seasons of "The Game of Thrones" and I quickly became a fan of it. Can't wait for the 3rd to air.  I'm Pretty excited to try out this mod once I get back from vacation.  I've been following this mod my entire time while away and hoping that .7 would come out before I get back, if not it doesn't matter anyway.  I would gladly wait a long time to have a grade A quality improvement.  I appreciate all the work yourself and your team have done here to bring this awesome mod available to us.

Game of Thrones is good on tv, but unless you have a budget like LOTR, Fantasy is better enjoyed in books.  George RR Martin (or GRRM to us old fanboys), R Scott Bakker, Steven Erikson... the list goes on.  IMO they are the best fantasy authors around.  I actually would exclude GRRM as his latest books have kinda sucked, BUT the Dunk and Egg novelas are just that damn good! 

Oops forgot Patrick Rothfuss!  His series is unbelievable.  Definitely recommend him as well!

People like you are in the minority, most people will stumble across this mod and go "Hey!  It's a GoT mod!" even though it'd technically be an ASOIAF mod but it's fine because of the above ... deal with it.

Again, only nitpicky people correct people over this.  I have no idea why you care so much about technical accuracy.  Do you do this to people in real life too?  "Nah man, 16 dollars at 20% tip isn't 3 dollars, its 3 dollars 20 cents.  Gotta be accurate!"

Better this than having Epicrules correct whoever crosses his invisible line when it comes to describing this mod.  He's already done it three times (one in regards to one of your scenes actually) in a week.  I'd much rather have this thread be a discussion about this mod instead of corrections in regards to how to label this mod to the outside population.  And I think you do too.

Seeing as the mod is called "(ASOIAF) A Clash of Kings"

A Clash of Kings being the name of the second book, A Song of Ice and Fire being the name of the series.

Calling it a "Game of Thrones" mod is most certainly wrong, as a certain Baratheon is still alive in A Game of Thrones.

Edit: Aswell as another certain Baratheon, and a certain Stark, throughout the majority of it.

So?  It can be described as a GoT mod regardless of lore differences.  The factions and some notable names are in this mod, so we can call it either a GoT mod or a ASOIAF mod.  Only nitpicky people correct others on this when it doesn't matter.

First time attempting to use TweakMB didn't work... as a test I changed one small thing to see if it'd work.  I changed the Noldor Spirit Horse speed from 50 to 51.  I saved changes and clicked the 'update' button.  I launched the game and bought the horse, still had a speed of 50.  So I start a new game, still speed of 50.  I wait like 2 weeks ingame and it's still 50...?

I don't think you used TweakMB for this (TweakMB can't modify a horse's speed).  Are you sure you didn't use something like Morgh's editor?

Not all GoT fans want to play the GoT mod, as it has pseudo-spoilers.  For example, there are some locations in game and certain characters are "stationed there" so it's easy to discern what may happen in the future compared to the current showings.  For example, if you look at the mod you'll see where Daenarys ends up and I wouldn't have known that because I don't read the books and the TV show hasn't gotten to that point yet.  After I saw that I immediately closed the thread.  I was excited for a GoT mod but it just has too many small spoilers in our current timeline (timeline of mod vs timeline of TV show).

If you're going to use Game of Thrones references, then at least be accurate.  You cannot be a warrior at all.  Ser Varys from GoT is not a warrior but rather a noble servant of the realm.  He is also an eunuch, so unless your character's balls and/or penis has been cut off, you cannot be Varys...

Two glaring references that Ser Varys obviously copied from the Ser Varys from GoT:

- The name.
- The nickname.  Ser Varys is referred to as 'the Spider' in private dealings.

I mean, if the nickname was something else than yeah I would've overlooked it as names are common, but the exact same name and nickname combination?  Unlikely.

I'm very sorry to have offended you in any way, shape or form. It appalls me that you have been hurt by my personal choice of a name. I must ask for your forgiveness, as I obviously can't use a name that has already been taken. I mean, it's certain that this harmed someone. This obviously affects a large audience, and obviously Martin is hurt by my improper usage of a name.

Thank you for accepting defeat.  I am very glad that we can agree that your lack of creativity is appalling, but that is your personal choice to not exercise your imagination.  Obviously, since you accepted defeat, you must choose to stop roleplaying until you figure out an entirely new backstory for your name that simply does not include any inspiration originating from the Ser Varys from GoT.  Your new character has to have an acceptable backstory, however.  I will be the judge of that.

IMO they all make "OK" lords with at least one fief.  Make sure to make them lords before recruiting any vassals or you'll have whiny lords when it comes to "awarding fief to a non-noble".

It varies based on your decisions and playing style.  A full cavalry army is FASTER, but tends to lose in sieges.  An archer army moves SLOWLY, but wins in both the field and siege.  Just some examples.

If that's true... that's lame.  I've attempted to kite Gregory away from the village because I dislike fighting in a small village because of the whole no-cav thing but he only follows a little bit then stops following and goes back to the village.  :S
