the problem with looking at the different "styles" the sides have like the western european ("rambo" xD) style of the swadians and khergits as mongolians. Is that those styles/types are not always functional in a computer game. For example the khergits still have to function in a castle/city map while that was their main weakness in real-life.

now about the swadians being OP etc. i have to say i;m not really concerned about some factions being "OP" because what really attracts me to this game is that it's for 99% based on your personal skill. Sure the nord veterans with their barbarian two-handed axes might have terrific stats but I still beat them even when they 2v1 me no matter what faction, why? because they think they're berserkers, they come at me with the massive axes in striking position, it's sooo easy to pull out a lance and stab one dead before he lands a hit, or circle around them block their axes (even with your bare sword) and slice em up. Even on equal skill levels i find equiptment to not really affect the fight too much, it's all about positioning trying to get a hit before he gets. All armor does is it makes you too mistake tolerant and all weapons do is making you over-aggresive.

Ruins, nice open spaces for cool cavalry fights but alot of buildings and obstacles aswell wich infantry can use. Also it's the least effective camping map i've experienced (i HATE camping). least favorite: village..i'm a cavalry type.

or you people need to go and play other gametypes the battle, wich is the least fun and ALWAYS ends up in turtling. I really really enjoy CTF but i NEVER see people in it.

Just because you're a lancer doesn't mean you're FORCED to charge directly into the enemy. And it doesn't mean you can't circle. Just circle around them only a bit tighter then an archer would and whenever you see an archer drift a bit too far from a spearment BAM he's dead.

indeed it's not just extremely annoying and gives archers the same capabilities as a spearmen, it's also extremely unrealistic, since it'd be impossible to keep a bow at maximum tension constantly (and crossbows steady with the weight on your arm and breathing etc.). I'd say let the crosshair be focused for a few seconds and after that let it go wider reasonably fast.
