What about the ability to become a Fade?

Well I got it to work, turned off AGP and set my settings to just below balanced and it works fine now.

I tried starting in windowed and it still gave me no signal during character creation and I waited it out a little and then my sound went nuts and started chirping. My monitor refresh rate is locked at 60. I am going to try setting max frames at 60 and see what happens.

Update- got a signal out of range msg, then sound went all weird and then got a no signal.

Im gonna try using an analog connecter instead of a digital one and see what happens with default settings.

i have the most up to date drivers and I have gone with the default config and changed it with shaders on/off, lowered texture detail, disabled shadows, changed max framerate to my monitors refresh rate ( 60 ), and turned off pixel shaders.

It seems the game will take longer to crash once I lower the texture detail, and go to my graphic controller and turn everything to optimum settings.

its just M&B, and I have tried reinstalling and redownloading but still no dice, another thing is when I went on vacation I downloaded the game onto another computer and used the same serial #, would that change anything? If i remember correctly you can have 2 computers using the same #

the game worked fine for awhile and I went on vacation and bought a 550W power supply and a pci slot fan, and it stopped working and I have tried removing the fan but still no go. The monitor is a 19" LCD Princeton and windows just has it listed as a plug and play monitor.

the game should fly, like it use to but it just acts like everything is overheating.

the same thing happens to me, except it crashed for me when I go to create my character, although if I do it super fast I can manage to get in the game world, but if I do it slowly it crashes and I get a no signal msg on my monitor

well gee I guess I should just give up then since I cant get any customer support in the customer support forum, atleast I was able to play a little bit before it started messing up.

i feel like a heroin junky that has a pin instead of a needle and cant figure out what's wrong.

I tried setting the framerate to 85, 60 ( monitor's refresh rate ), 50, 40, 30, and 20. I could get past the character creation if I did it fast enough and get into the world but shortly after the screen would freeze and I would get a chirping or popping noise and the monitor would display a black screen with the no signal message.

I went to my ATI control panel and went to the 3d controller section, and I put the setting for direct 3d to optimal quality which has...

with this setting I was able to get past the character creation process and into the world where I was able to talk to the trainer until just before the spars. I was then forced to restart my computer. I then changed the setting to optimal performance with these settings

I wasnt able to get halfway into the character selection screen before I had to restart.

3 things will happen when it goes wrong; I can only move my mouse horizontally, graphics will become "streaked" with chirps, or montior will go to black and a lost signal or no signal msg will appear.

EDIT- nope I still get the same problem. Maybe my computer is "too good"? I have had experiences like this before with previos games on a different computer where I would have an up to date computer and play a 4 year old game and it wouldn't work.
