  1. Resolved One step ahead perk doesn't work

Yeah, it's one of the biggest reasons I have stopped playing Singleplayer for the time being. All of your time invested is worth nothing with none of the perks functioning like they should.
  2. Resolved List of Perks That Do Nothing or Don't Work

Yeah it sucks hearing all of this progress being for nothing when the perks don't work...
  3. Resolved List of Perks That Do Nothing or Don't Work

Been playing around quite a bit...

The one's I've noticed in particular are as follows:

    (1) Disciplinarian: even with the perk, bandit troops cannot be upgraded/reverted into normal troops. The option is still unavailable and tells you that you need the perk. - FIXED 1.0.6

    (2) Merry Men: with perk, no option is ever given when engaging with bandit troops to recruit them. My dreams of running my own bandit army are crushed.

    (3) Bow Expert: the item "Southern Strong Longbow" still cannot be used on horseback. (MrPhail, Jonlit, ScribeUntitled also report similar occurences)

    (4) Ice Breaker: I've never seen my relation increase with a lord on conversation start. (Could be RNG, per ScribeUntitled)

    (5) Drill Master: It says (Governor), but since you can't declare yourself governor of a fief, this perk does...nothing?

    Per Stefan208:

    1 - Prominence
    2 - Logistics expert
    3 - Bannerlord

    Per Skang:
-Should increase party size by 2. It doesn't happen.

    Per Xcelerate:
The level 275 Medicine perk doesn't work (tested by shooting my own troops to count HP in battle)
Perk for extra ammo doesn't appear to work for crafted javs

    Per pbl,
-the lvl 75 tactic skills doesnt work
-neither does the 175 steward skill (man at arms)
-both lvl 75 leadership skills dont work
-the lvl 25 smithing skills (coalmaker) is inverted to what it says. (costs 3 wood to make 2 coal when it should be 2wood/3coal)

    Per JaffalAllaYourMum
    -Prominence
-Warmonger has no indicator in army management
-War Rations has no indicator in food consumption
    -Raise the Meek

    Per zwien,
-Bannerlord only works as faction leader.

    Per Sepone,
-Ice Breaker seems to not work after a while.

    Per Ackdam,
-Ice Breaker RNG seems lower than stated
-Merry Men seems as common as Ice Breaker, but doesn't have the perk
    -Efficient Coal Maker still incorrect
    -Man-At-Arms definitely not working

OlgaPumpkinStealer and Zyakan report having Merry Men fire once, despite not having the perk - then not happening again

This list is by no means comprehensive or guaranteed to be accurate, so if anyone has any more, I'll happily add to it.
    ______

I know a lot of the ammo perks (specifically in my case for Throwing weapons,) do not work, nor does Prominence for influence gain. I also know that "One Step Ahead" from tactics doesn't work.

Many of the perks right now do not work; and they haven't even addressed their awareness of it, nor do they really state it in their "known issues" post. I guess we just have to keep posting that the perk system is busted in hopes they see it and actually fix them all.

  5. Many perks don't work

I've posted about this a while ago, and I don't even know if they know that a majority of their perks aren't even working. I've heard that only like 7 perks are currently working, and I know for a sure I have issues with the ammo perks, and with the Influence giving perks.

  7. In Progress Perks not working

Very good, thanks for your summary. Appreciate it. Is there a way to ask a dev or somebody know how in correct manner get a reply of a dev in this thread? I am new in this forum and don't got much knowledge if it is ok to maybe link or mention a community manager/dev.

I would assume having active conversations and having active player contributions to this thread (of perks that are confirmed not to work,) would keep "bumping" this post up so Devs can see what we are talking about and what us players want prioritized.

If you can, (don't know if you can at this point,) try renaming or editing the title of this post to: "Perk System Broken/Non-Implemented: Player Tracked List"

Maybe that would help draw peoples eyes to contribute to the list, and maybe catch the eyes of the Devs.
  8. Quick Fix Suggestion: Main Quest-Line Reward? (Neretze's Folly/The Dragon Banner for both Empire or Independent) + New Noble Finding Funcitons?

This is more of a lower priority suggestion more than anything, (and I know there is already a lot of bugs and "incomplete-ness" of the Main Quest-Line anyway,) but I think this can be a quick value-add fix to what feels to be major lacking part of the game. You've just spent MANY TEDIOUS HOURS...
  9. In Progress Perks not working

I AM agreeing with everyone here that:

#1.) We need a response from Taleworlds regarding the status of Perks, and...

#2.) It would be a great to have a running list from Taleworlds as to which perks work, which don't, and what their plans are on for fixing/implementing them, (much like the "Unresolved Issues" list.)

*#3.) It would also be nice to have UI Elements on the Skills # Breakdown pages of the "Character" Tab that confirms the effects of selected perks, as well as updated tooltips on effected stats, [EX. +1 Influence from "Prominence" Perk when hovering over Influence AI, or +1 Ammo from "Fully Armed" perk when hovering over a bag of Javelins.] *This is more so a "would be nice" type of deal at the moment as opposed to absolutely needed.

What I DON'T agree here with is how people are playing it off as "It's just Early Access" or "Perks aren't really that important." As a Sandbox/RPG game, having CORE MECHANICS as SIMPLE as PERKS not working/implemented are pretty unacceptable at this stage of both development and release. Character Progression is an absolute core part of the game and experience, and although I appreciate the changes made to the leveling up systems and XP requirements for Player & Troops (to make much less grindy,) these efforts have NO POINT if people are working towards leveling things that won't have any significant effect on game-play (aside from the tiny innate stat boosts Skills give you in things that, HELL I don't even know are working either!) [EX. If the Perks aren't working, how do we even really know that your +% Damage and Speed you've been grinding in One-Handed is even applying?]

The Perks not working is literally one of the biggest things that is holding me back from diving into playing again until they are fixed. Although I absolutely appreciate Taleworlds fixing big issues like Crashes, Performance Boosts, Combat AI, Battle/Siege AI, etc. (and although I don't know about Taleworld's Dev Team/Departments/Workflow/Priorities,) a PROPERLY working PERK SYSTEM to me at least seems to me like it should be much higher up on the priority list. I just don't feel like playing; or feel like I can enjoy a game that doesn't reward that skill grinding time/leveling up effort. It makes both of those things feel worthless. It also makes character build variety (one of the BIGGEST draws to replay-ability and Role-Playing) feel absolutely worthless as well.

I don't mean to complain; but I just feel that this is a super important system that should be fixed, (and it seems like it is something that can be fixed much quicker while adding much more value to the game as opposed to some of the larger grand-scheme changes ya'll are making.

Regardless, keep up the good work!
