  1. Coolest feature scrapped, what is the reasoning behind that?

Ok, that's fair enough and I agree to a certain extent. But every game has its scope, and not everything we want will be within BL's scope of development. Sometimes you just have to make the best of a situation, and with some decent modders and a good engine, that can be done.

I agree with you there on this, however adding that dimension in the OP's post would have added onto the Mount and Blade genre. It would have seen a new dimension to this brand, however, we had a dumbed-down version of that.

Should it be added, 100%. Does it need to be added right now? No, it can wait, but I think TW should add it. Not a modder.
  2. Coolest feature scrapped, what is the reasoning behind that?

We are talking about the potential to add features which TW have told us they will not be including, not fixing things.

I'm going along with the general attitude that the feature(s) would be great and people agree it would be great, but is not being included. Therefore modders need to include it. In my mind, that's fixing a shortcoming. You can add all the fluff behind it and call it adding if you'd like.
  3. Coolest feature scrapped, what is the reasoning behind that?

    @Crotiz
If TW are developing their mod API well and with flexibility, the idea will be jumped on by a modder in no time. Heck, I'm tempted to look into BL modding possibilities, just to see if this is possible. But it all depends on how good the BL mod-API is.

Buys game to give money to developers so modders can fix it for free.
  4. should there be a cultural variety of armor and weapons in the game?

In case you haven't noticed, this game is based on medieval Europe. So you have the typical feudal, the Celtic, Roman, Viking, Slav, Muslim, and even Mongol factions. But the Far East hardly had any direct contact with medieval Europe.

    Where are your sources?
  5. The dev is beating around the bush

I don't know how many developers they have but limiting caravans from 80 to 30 probably requires 1 man hour and a few more hours of mostly passive testing.
Mexxico probably spend less time with the change than he spend with discussions on the forums...
So I'd say the complaint is pretty invalid unless the entire dev team is occupied with changing one number.

Caravans should not be capped at 30 troops. Caravans should grow just like armies. The bigger they are, the more merchandise they can move, which in turn means more guards. This should be a thing, I don't know why it isn't.

*EDIT*: Of course I realize this could be game-breaking, but there can be diminishing returns to it. Guards defecting or leaving after every town, wages not being paid and so on. However, limiting caravans to 30 guards when kingdoms can amass mega 1000+ armies is silly.
  6. Castles Should be Harder to Get and More Useful When You Do

Castles should have walls that restrict movement to neutrals/enemies on the map. It would be a cool thing imo.

You could throw tolls into the mix so that parties that don't belong to you would have to pay to get through, thus generating small income. If people don't like this idea you could just remove tariffs at towns to do so.

    Edit:

    - Another idea, some sort of strategic position advantage if you own the castle in the area. Much like when you're attacking/defending near a settlement/castle/village and you get help from the local militia/garrison.
  7. Things to insta fix in the Single Player

So I am currently enjoying the game immensely with all of its downfalls.

But there are a few things that need to be insta fix to make the game (as is) play well:

    1. After you make your own kingdom, you cannot get a wife.
    2. Other kingdoms announce war a bit too soon after you start your own kingdom.
    3. You cannot take a town/kingdom for yourself if you have vassals. The vote decision is always for other vassals and you cannot vote it for yourself. A work around is to kick the clan that has the town/castle you want and then reinvite them, but it doesn't always work.
    4. Aserai are incredibly passive, they never wage war and either just sit there or get invaded by others. Same goes for Northern Empire.
    5. Sieges have terrible optimisation and I have to go to low settings and 500 troops for a siege, otherwise, sometimes FPS drops so low that the game crashes and I have to start the siege all over. (I have ryzen 3600, rtx 2070s, 16gb 3200 ram).
    6. Let us declare war/peace from the Kingdom menu and not having to look for a noble from the kingdom we wanna declare war/peace to.

Overall, everything else is fine for me, at least for now.

    1. I think this is due to the availability of women in the game. I noticed that a lot of lords didn't have offspring or if some did it was very few. I don't think this holds true with historical accuracy. People had lots of children in medieval times, I feel like there should be more. This could expand on later gameplay that allows some intrigue and deception, for example, you could marry into a family, destroy/kill your siblings if they are slated to inherit fiefs.
    2. I haven't encountered this yet. I think it may be due to you being a weaker kingdom and they may want to take the opportunity to get your lands.

    3. This, I think this is silly. Your clan should be able to vote on this. Maybe once you start having your own children the option will become available?
    4. I've noticed they could be any kingdom.
    5. Make sure your graphics card is selected in the settings menu. I noticed this issue in some battles and I toned down the number of troops and some settings to compensate. I started fooling around with the settings and noticed my GPU was not selected, once it was I haven't had an issue and I'm on max settings now.
    6. This, the kingdom management tab is lacking in utility. Yes, policies and such are great, but I should have a lot more control over my kingdom from it.

    *EDIT*

Anyone feel like the main menu music should be siege music?
