  1. Large Bag of Arrows

Seconded, found a large bag of Barbed arrows. It weighs 1.5 instead of 1 and has more value but has the same exact stats, including only 20 arrows. Same 1.2 beta build.
  2. Bandit Hideouts

    Descriptions of bandit camp locations:

  3. One guy is raiding my villages

glad to hear it worked for you!
  4. Tired of managing the lords

Some other tips as, that work in native without mods:

    1. Since you said you have your own Kingdom, make sure you're marshall, and start your feast.
    2. After a few days you'll probably have all the lords there that will show up, and hopefully none that are there are leaving yet.
    3. Start a campaign, and the feast ends with a nice 2 or so boost to relation for all lords presently at the party.
    4. End campagin, patrol a few days, maybe gather some food for your larder, and repeat.

It's pretty easy to gain 3 rep each week or so with all the lords that will at least bother to come to your feasts this way during peacetime, and get them built up for the inevitable drops that will happen when you go back to war and are awarding fiefs.

Another tip, swear in vassals that are related to one another as you often get increases for the whole family when you award anything to any of them.

The same is true of companions promoted to lords who like each other, and have a personality match. Consider promoting them in matched pairs. The converse is also true of companions who have/had a personality conflict and are promoted.

    Hope that helps a little.

  5. What do you think????

Khergits are fine until you have to fight sieges. Use them until you're ready to become embroiled in politics and capturing/defending in seiges. Train yourself and your heroes with some trainer skill during this time so you can train new recruit up to mounted units quickly in the future.

Then if you still want all cav get some swadian knights, or sarranid mamelukes for when you're fighting Swadia. They both do a decent job assaulting a castle and if you use your khergit veteran archers to lend them some support you have a decent enough castle assault force that maintains your map speed.
  6. Tournament Weapons

I just wish it would randomly determine the weapons on a team, and give the same weapons loadout to all teams. That would even things out if it were 2 teams of 2 or 3 teams of 1 or 4 teams of 5, or even 2 teams of 1.
  7. Do the Swadians always get killed?

In my current playthrough Swadia has taken Veluca and Jelka from the Rhodoks and Tihr and Sargoth from the Nords and of course have lost Dhirim, which is now claimed by my nation.  The khergit and Nords have been wiped out, and the Sarranid are down to just Shariz and 2-3 castles. The Vaegirs have just maintained, losing Reyvadin to me, but gaining Wercheg from the Nords. Of all the NPC factions Swadia has done the best so far. That may be becasue they've fought me the least though, and often nipped at my enemies on a second front.
  8. Is tactics all that usefull?

Not to say tactics skill isn't useful, but there's usually better places to put your points.

Surgery really saves you from having to recruit/replace and retrain your army over and over and over.

Pathfinding lets you run away from battles you can't win and catch up to those trying to run when you can.

Engineering is a godsend when sieging with a tower instead of ladders.

Training skill is great, but you can get away with smaller levels of this on your character and all your party heroes, just max it to whatever the int on each character allows based on your other build priorities.

Spotting, Tracking, Looting, Trade, Tactics, First Aid, and Wound Treatment are all very nice but secondary to the above. Personally I like a bit more spotting then the rest, and probably rate looting and trade the lowest. You really don't need more money skills if you make the effort at investing in enterprises in every city.

My current playthrough main character has focused on INT and CHA and handles all the party skills himself. He has 10 STR to use a siege crossbow and 12 agility so he can ride a decently armored horse, 30 INT and the rest is going into CHA. It's taken him a long time to get halfway decent at fighting but in his early battles he just sat on a hill and ordered his troops around the battlefield, focusing on tactical maneuvering. 10 surgery, pathfinding, and engineering with the bonuses for being the main player are truly awesome. Almost makes the game too easy.

  10. Rhodok or Swadian sharpshooters?

I was talking about single player too. Swadian xbowman get two handed weapons and such.

The only 2-hander Swadian Sharpshooters have a chance of spawning with is the voulge. Rhodok sharpshooters spawn with siege crossbows where Swadian sharpshooters spawn with crossbows or heavy crossbows. Rhodok sharpshooters have a slight edge in the crossbow skill over their Swadian counterpart.
I think they spawn with siege xbows too.

No, they don't. I checked with Morgh's tool. You can mod it in but they do not spawn with siege crossbows in the native game.

Well I just checked my module files for 1.134 and in troops.py I see that all Rhodok sharpshooters spawns with a 'sniper' crossbow and steel bolts.

    ["rhodok_sharpshooter","Rhodok Sharpshooter","Rhodok Sharpshooters",tf_guarantee_boots|tf_guarantee_armor|tf_guarantee_helmet|tf_guarantee_ranged|tf_guarantee_shield,0,0,fac_kingdom_5,
      [itm_sword_medieval_b,itm_military_pick,itm_military_hammer,itm_tab_shield_pavise_c,itm_sniper_crossbow,itm_steel_bolts,
        itm_kettle_hat,itm_mail_coif,itm_mail_with_tunic_green,itm_leather_boots,itm_splinted_leather_greaves],
      str_14 | agi_5 | int_4 | cha_4|level(25),wp_one_handed (110) | wp_two_handed (110) | wp_polearm (110) | wp_archery (100) |
    wp_crossbow (140) | wp_throwing (100),knows_common|knows_ironflesh_3 | knows_shield_4|knows_power_strike_4| knows_athletics_6,rhodok_face_middle_1, rhodok_face_older_2],

In items.py I see the 'sniper crossbow' is a siege crossbow:

    ["sniper_crossbow", "Siege Crossbow", [("crossbow_c",0)], itp_type_crossbow |itp_merchandise|itp_primary| itp_two_handed| itp_cant_reload_on_horseback ,itcf_shoot_crossbow|itcf_carry_crossbow_back, 683 , weight(3.75)| difficulty(10)|spd_rtng(37) | shoot_speed(70) | thrust_damage(63 ,pierce)|max_ammo(1),imodbits_crossbow ],

EDIT addition: looking in the same files 66.66% of swadian sharpshooters spawn iwth crossbow and 33.33% with heavy crossbow, and have regular bolts.
  11. 1.143 fix?

    cypruss11 说:
they just need to undo everything they did in 1.142 and 1.143. Go back to good old 1.134

I just never patched past that yet... waiting for it to all get sorted out.
  12. LOL I got banned from entering a castle!

yup, female PC text from native. Hilarious some of the things that are said back and forth.
  13. Hardest castle/town to siege.

I find when I attack Durrin that my troops take a lot less fire if I order them to circle around to the left of the castle to get to the ladder as opposed to following the default path on the right. It's still no picnic, but it makes a big difference.
  14. New Patch removed arrows?

Get your product key from steam and just install the game from the download from this site, so it's not running through Steam.

I like Steam for the most part (I own 40 steam games), but I despise the fact it auto updates even when you have it selected not to.

    http://www.taleworlds.com/

I bought my game on Steam and did this and am having zero problems. Somewhere on the right-click in your library you can get your product key and then just do a fresh non-steam install and apply your key. Problem solved.
  15. Are you a complement to your army or part of the main focus?

All depends on the character/playthrough, but often supplement as opposed to complement as you say.

In my current game my character is very non-combatant. 10 STR 9 AGI 30 INT 18 CHA and rising.

He's covering all the support skills like surgery, pathfinding, spotting, engineering, etc. himself which frees up all his companions to be great fighters or developing to be good future lords for my kingdom, and means he never has to worry about key support people getting taken out in any of the fights. He usually sits in a safe spot and directs the battle. Sometimes I have him circle around and muck in the archers on his horse or play sharpshooter with a crossbow in seiges, but mostly he's a general/tactician and just gives out orders in combats.

You are more cool than me.

Hardest part was getting pyhton to run!

I also didn't like how they completely overlooked revamping to give some of the companions contacts in Sarranid cities when they added the faction so I rearranged those a bit.
  17. One or Two Handed Mounted?

    One-handed, no shield.
    Because it looks better.
    Preferably a Sword or Morningstar.

Isn't a morning star with no shield two handed skill even though the animation is one handed? (Just like bastard sword with no shield)
  18. Help/Strategy for defending a siege?

Yes, really good infantry and lots of ranged units. You'll slaughter them.

  20. One or Two Handed Mounted?

Heavy Balanced Bastard Sword is a great weapon to give you the option to use the shield or not, based on how many projectiles are being lobbed at you.
