How can I disable the custom camera for battles? I use the arrow keys as my movement keys

I agree with the OP, I never bother assaulting hideouts, there are arrows coming from everywhere and the random spawns just make it that much more frustrating. 

I saw this kind of thing, the saranid and rhodok armies met on the border of their lands, but just ignored each other and kept moving to go plunder villages.

I was thinking the opposite. Those huge axes can crush a shield in a few hits, and two-handers can hit from further away.
I see alot of crazy 2 handed beserkers dominating shield users.

I'm usually a sword/spear and board guy and I find it harder to kill the crazy two-handers than anyone else.

Anyone have any advice on how to deal with those 2-handed axes? Defending with a shield doesn't seem to be an option as it breaks in a couple of hits, and their attacks come at me so fast, I have no room for an attack. 

I want to see proper battles in an open field, where everyone is in formation, archers firing in volleys, glorious charges into the frontline, etc. 

Yes, nord infantry have too many advantages.

There isn't much point in using swords when most combat comes down to who's shield will break first, or when they are swinging the amazingly powerfull 2-handed axes then shields serve no purpose, as it will break in a few hits.

Imo, they should make shields alot more durable

I don't really understand how dismemberments are so bad that you must be 18 to see it. Quite ridiculous imo.

I'd like to see more wounds etc on bodies, cutting off someones head while going full speed with my horse would be very satisfying also

I'd like the ability to setup formations. Gets a little tiring to run around the battlefield setting up formation while arrows are flying through the air.

I'm new to M&B, just got warband a few days ago after a friend told me about it, so i'm not familiar with the old system.

But in warband, lancing seems easy to aim and just destroys everything... if anything it seems overpowered to me.
I'm using the Manual(easy aim), not sure what the differences are but I find this incredibly easy to aim with, maybe its just me though.
