Actually, the Heavy Great Long Axe is also very deadly on horseback, you just need to press X and you'll wield it like a 2 handed weapon,  allowing you to swing it, instead of just thrusting when it's in polearm mode.

However, in order for the 'switch weapon mode' key to work on horseback, you need to set the 'Lance Couching' to easy or hard, not automatic, in the options menu.

Heavy Great Long Axe FTW 
Perfect for smashing through shields, and gets easy one-hit kills on the poor souls who forget to block.
Unfortunately, very unimpressive on horseback. 

On foot, I like to use jarids. I know that they're the most innacurate damn thing ever (needs to be changed), but you can't beat that damage : speed ratio.

I wanna hear more about everyone's favourite ranged weapons, if they use 'em. 

I think that lord execution could work, but it'd just need to be implemented right.

Perhaps it could be like if you killed a king, the lord with the highest renown takes his place. A new lord could be randomly generated (a peasant got lucky?) with a name randomly assigned from a faction-specific list.

If TaleWorlds could do something like that, perhaps the depopulation problem would be solved.
