    infantry and Xbow, I like having a bit of versatility, as xbow I get decent melee if I need, and as infantry I like to pack throwing weapons.

    That said I like playing Nord archer as well.

    How to play as Khergits MORE in Multiplayer

    I really enjoy playing Khergits as well, as the OP says its all about versatility. Their archers are dangerous even if dismounted, and their cavarly, men I love playing lancer! I can fight any cavarly, and inf with the hafted blade (which works great with their speed and manouverability) and if unhorsed or I have to dismount, I get excelent running speed, good shields and axes.

    whats not to like?


    And whenever a good Khergit teams is formed, it forces strategy on the other team, it really makes for fun matches.

    [Suggestion] Proximity Morale Buff

    I agree that the game already creates this effect, heck if I see a bunch of angry guys coming at me yelling in hobospeak I would run as hell.

    I would like to suggest a change to the OP suggestion, in that sticking together with lots of allies should provide a small defense boost, maybe reducing damage to shields or even making it easier to stop arrows, which would in turn make a shield wall viable, and make fighting for choke points that much more important.

    [Suggestion] New Animations

    Another part of the game that could use some animation loving is the death animations. Seriously all deaths look just like they got unplugged out off of the matrix, its almost like death touch, no drama no pain, no phisicality, just poof death.

    Now Im not asking for finishing moves (tho those would be awasome) but picture this: You just cut right through your oponents chest with your scimitar, he walks back a couple of steps holding the wound, falls on his knees then dies.

    Or this:

    you are raining arrows into a dude coming at you, you finally take him down, but as he is loosing cordination his knees cant support him and tries to stay up using his sword/spear like a cane or whatever and finally collapses into the ground.

    or even small things like somebody on the floor trying to reach for something before dying.

    Or a healmet flying away when you knock somebody with your massive 2 hander


    I know you have priorities, but deaths are really repetitive and rather boring, people dies all the time in this game and who doesnt love to kick somebody from a roof in M&B? diferent death animations would add variety and could be rewarding or even fun after an intense fight.

    Animation wise deaths are the dullest part of the game as of now, hope they get some attention.

    And before someone points it out...no this wouldnt take time out of the developers from programing.

    Anyway back to animations, I agree with the OP the new sprint needs a new animation, when one does accelerate enough to run you dont bounce up and down faster, if anything your body kinda stays the same position with your body inclined forward (walking and running are really a controled fall) so yes, diferent animations are needed as it looks unnatural, as well as transitions between walking-running-sprinting-stopping

    And now that we are talking animations, I think iddle animations would be nice, as well as diferent iddle animations for badly injured guys.

    Thanks for this patch guys! the new battle mechanics are fun, and I personally love sprinting, seeing how you listen to suggestions and comments gives us more incentive to keep doing it.

    [Suggestion] How to implement Player Formations.

    I also agree that in order for formations to be of real use, area control or blocking movement should be implemented, unless we have that, shield walls or spear walls or any real formation is going to be useless.

    When we have something like that people is going to learn to use formations all by themselves to win.

    [Suggestion] Get rid of banners, especially the clan banners

    I like the banner mess as well, heck if it was possible I would wear my heraldry and colors all over my armor, the banner mess IMHO gives the battlefield such a nice medieval feeling.

    I used to get confused with foe and enemy at first, but its just a matter of getting used to watch armor rather than circles to identify foes.

    As long as the exclamation mark is semitransparent and doesnt last long, Im up for it, tho it should only appear the first time you speak and dissapear once someone starts spamming.

    about the spawn point, perhaps the attackers could made a poll to switch respawn point? that way if they are having difficulties they can poll to switch it..I know nooo more polls please...but this one actually affects the ongoing battle instead of quiting. and people love to poll so why not.

    I think thats why castle 3 is so damm fun, the gatehouse does give acces to the rest of the castle, but it has several stacks of defense and posible attack areas, its quick to reinforce and both teams will fight the hell to control it, now imagine several layers of that and you got the game mode with the most tactical depth and intensity.

    By the way, I've always wandered why in a medieval game is the courtyard the main objective instead of a keep.

    Its tricky, infantry should rape you if surrounded, but seriously, sometimes it only need 1 lonely guy to dehorse you because your horse doesnt accelerate fast enough. Thats why I think such acceleration should be only for heavy horses, it should require a bit of teamwork to stop a heavy horse on his tracks, and not just a butterfly getting in his way.

    I support this idea.

    Playing castle 3 the other day we were having a really interesting battle to defend the gatehouse, and when it was finally lost, to defend the courtyard (which is actually fun to defend) problem is, precicely as the OP points out, lack of time, and having only 1 target to take, which throws a lot of the castle to waste.

    several layers of defense along with diferent capturable objectives would take advantage of complex designs like castle 3.

    Being able to capture, say a bastion in the walls, should allow for closer respawn for the attackers, and faster respawn for the defenders (to keep things balanced) The final fight for the final bastion (not a courtyard) should be the most interesting and intense.

    I would also like to suggest something if such a system would be implemented,  adding extra time for the attackers if they manage to take a new control point, that way the defenders will try harder to defend the outer walls and end the match early instead of turtling in say the central tower. And it would allowe succesful attacks to gain momentun instead of ending suddenly because of timelimit.

    Seriously castles in the style of castle 3 have massive potential if they get reworked a bit more.

    I like the idea, as it stands now, people can swing at you multiple times before you even start to escape a hot situation, but as long as its not overdone, if you charge into a mass of infantry you deserve to get in trouble.

    Perhaps this should be implemented on heavy horses? it would certainly help them in their role as heavy cavarly, which they cant be right now.

    I support the idea, really this game needs a mayor ravamp animation wise, its hard not to think you are playing a zombie sometimes.

    I think its worth being animated, the stunt animation from a hammer shouldnt be the same stung animation from jumping up high. Anyway, I like the suggestion a lot, it would add more depth to the gameplay and force you to think of viable exit strategies if everything goes south.

    And it would get rid of ninja defenders in castle 1 as well.

    I would like to suggest that kicking somebody on the edge of a roof had a chance of kicking him down for some extra damage. and imagine kicking somebody into a suicidal fall, now that would be fun. (and would require a new animation dont care it would be fun)

    I dont think I like the idea either, what would be the point of giving the best player improved stats? like they need them to start with, in the other hand it would worsen the problem of naked 2h spam, just imagine it, I go naked and pack a 2h and spam like crazy, get enough extra money to get better stats and spam even better!

    As for higher troop tiers, I'd rather see more troops types and equipment for all factions, that way you get more variety in both tactics and aesthetics.

    Polls need to go, its getting ridiculous now, always same maps, same factions, we are supposed to be beta testing. I personally like playing Khergit, and I hate it to see them go all the time.
