    Change the Map

In case of Strugia I have several, personal ideas, which I would like to share here. Maybe they will give some ideas to someone on how to fix
    rus-viking problem.

    And the ideas are:
-Make Struggians travel faster through uplands.
-Change whole Strugia territory into mountain area.

    Change the Map

The only, but huge problem I have with this map are the sea and huge lake.

There are no ships in the game, so they serve no purpouse other than creating an obstacle.
This is particulary a problem in case of Aserai, since their strenght lays in trading, and it takes only to block those few passages to greatly cripple their economy.

I would solve that problem by changing sea into mountain line, with numerous smaller, or bigger passes.

    escort caravan quest kinda broken

the caravan is running away from every little army it meets on a road, making quest longer to finish if at all

How will they fix Sturgia getting completely eliminated in one year, and Khuzait and Vlandia taking half the map in 3 years?

Yes I think the idea of a far more severe winter attrition for non-Sturgian units is interesting to give them a better chance.

that would still leave a problem though, about non-strugian armies joining strugian army, adding all those debuffs anyway
but at least at the first 300 days they would be significantly stronger

How will they fix Sturgia getting completely eliminated in one year, and Khuzait and Vlandia taking half the map in 3 years?

well my apology. they appereantly held some little of their own. While on grand scale of thing been pushed arround.
Just like they are in game :p Historical accuracy at its finest.

How will they fix Sturgia getting completely eliminated in one year, and Khuzait and Vlandia taking half the map in 3 years?

well to be fair - HISTORICALY - strugia-like factions didnt lasted long, while europeans and mongols kicked everybody arround for ages
its just a fact that cavalary and long range weaponry is superior to shield walls and meele combat

im at day 1037. strugia holds 5 cities and is the second weakest faction from all surviving till that point. The main reason it survived is because it didnt waged wars with multiple stronger faction. One, two tops and those having wars with others as well.
The other reason being me dedicated to uphold faction ballance by fighting
and weakening the strongest ones. But that is non-direct.

    To adress some propositions

    1) Clan rebellions

    2) Civil war

    3) Peasant/city rebellions ( large ones ) :

    - Improving simulation battles calculation
    - Giving Sturgia better racial trait.

These seem fair. I would not nerf cavalary though. It was already buffed by the order of other fans, and rightly so.
Other steady diplomacy/AI improvements are just a standard for any major patch.

I suggest we look at history and see what made norsemen so op during their time, and russians holding throughout this period.
By wikipedia it was "MOBILITY" of their ships, that allowed them to harras and outmaneuver their enemies.
If it comes to russia, their best survival treat has always been winter.

Since we cant have boats, I suggest we buff Strugians troops athletics and basicaly make them european zulus.
And increase army losses in mobility, food, cohesion ect at snow terrain, while making strugians for the most part immune to these effects.

    Beta Patch Notes e1.4.2

i like how significantly stronger factions have more wars than weaker ones. that way they sort of preventing themselves from snowballing and hold the balance of power

    Bandit boss guard

After challenging boss and beating him I witnessed that his "guard" isnt taken as prisoners, nor joining my party. They just leave. I have to shoot them in the head as well to at least take those unconscious as prisoners. Shouldnt they at least be taken?

Bannerlord major fall on Steam most played games

Well, I for once really enjoy this game. Too much in fact - had to uninstall it due to addictive nature. It sort of mirrors "one more turn" syndrome, where I keep working for self-determined goals. And I guess I could distribute my time to achive those goals by playing "one battle at the time", but there kicks another thing - endless grind for certain perks, to have a type of roleplay i wish for. And Its even more harder to grind when you have to restart every major patch.
So right now I just wait till the beta ends and then im going to use some cheats to skip grinding/or play at easiets dificulty at the start, and then im going to enjoy the game.

If there is any major thing I would suggest myself for devs to work on - is to keep snowballing at lowest possible. Other than that - i dont see any major problems. Content adding should be reserved for expansions and mods.

    Beta Patch Notes e1.4.1

Perhaps they need to slow down on releasing patches, let them take their time on developing/planning. I'm patient as long as release meets expectations... can wait another two years max.

I dont think it will be that long, but I wouldnt mind. We already waited so long. Whats few years more in comparison?

    Battania- cant figure out

You use their skirmishers as meat shield, and their archers do everything other.

I agree. They're basicaly there just to not loose Fians.

and thus, you dont miss them as much when loosing them you do - especially at sieges. If I can, I safe my fians in towns/castles and only siege with battanian cannon fodder

How do you guys level Roguery?

selling captured lords and units after every huge battle + raiding villages

    day 800 - rougery 118

    edit: day 809 - 124
I guess if you dedicate yourself to grindig huge enemy armies and then selling all prisonners, then you may get to 275 before death from old age :p
  14. tree-man of battania

Only way to play the game?

Im trying to exp my rouge skill, so selling lords is crucial

    Bandit Base is just pointless

I for once enjoy bandit camps. You feel like comandos on a mission,

I would even make greater variety of bases so they dont get too boring.
Would even go further and add something like kidnapping missions in enemy towns and castles.

How do you tackle large hideouts?

    I just did 47 with fabulous tree-bow

How do you tackle large hideouts?

Right, I am thinking something similar to the Snake Cult stronghold in the Prophesy of Pendor mod for the old Warband, if you have ever played that. Bandits would have a simple fortification, so not a castle but still some defense. If you are giving them those numbers they might as well have some kind of barricade.

i was thinking about advantegous position as literaly standing above our troops in some canyon and shooting them like ducks

besides, wont we just abandon ambushing hideout alltogether if we could always just roll in with our entire army? and wont it breake hideouts with smaller oposition?
I for once actualy enjoy these comandos missions where you put down one campfire after another. it makes you feel like rambo
  18. tree-man of battania

How do you tackle large hideouts?

I am honestly hoping that they will do that at some point, that would make much more sense and be way more fun.

If that would be idea then at least i would put bandits in some sort of advantageous position as a form of prepeared ambush
  19. tree-man of battania

How do you tackle large hideouts?

I usually roll as an archer, so whenever i encounter large hideout i poke bandits from behind the tree.

hide -> poke -> hide again quickly.

If you do this properly fast you can shoot them before they shoot you from your poking position.
Once hiden, they will run at your troops, only stopping and aiming at you when showing from behind of tree again, so its best to shoot those that are closest to your troops.
However if they approach from two sides, then sooner or later bandits will start shooting you from one of them, so you also have to deal with bandits from one side of tree and then another.
    Which side first is situational.

    stealth mechnics?

I know it sounds suggestive, considering my nickname. But maybe there could be some ambush mechanic added to the game that would allow players party to reamin unseen for AI if concealment in forrest, or other types of terrrain?
