At no point in Emperor's incoherent rambling did I even recognize a faint glimmer resembling a reasonable argument. The developers of Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord have the right priorities. They did an amazing job with the graphics.
Graphics alone do not contribute to the allure of a game. The aesthetic eye-candy hardly lasts. Decent graphics are certainly needed to make a game tolerable (ignoring the topic of artistic direction altogether). They certainly achieved that.
There is a reason why the Mount and Blade series has been very successful and has maintained a committed player-base for more than 10 years. The directional attack system is perfect because it is easy to understand and difficult to master (like with any successful game).
The issue with people like this is that they play too many high-budget games and expect the same quality from any developer ignoring anything else they have to offer. It is truly ignorance at its most repugnant stage.
Just because people advocate for a game they enjoy, does not make them desperate. The only thing to be cared for is their argument and if it is reasonable, then that is all that should matter. I have yet to really hear any intelligible detracting response regarding the fundamentals of M&B II: BL.
