    I killed the right guy and it rewarded me! I just had to ignore the 'helpful tips' the villagers gave and tried all three of the possibilities. It was definitely a kill, too. Arrows to the face are pretty uncompromising.

    Update: The Quest told me he was
    1) Bearded
    2) Bald
    3) Had no face markings or scars

    I killed a "Brazen Contender" who was bald. Got negatives and failed the quest
    Save-scummed, reloaded. Killed a guy named something like "Noble Contender" who had face tattoos. Failed.
    Reloaded again. Killed a guy named "Bold Contender" who was ALSO BALD. QUEST COMPLETE, HOW DID YOU SOLVE THE CASE SHERLOCK?

    I've talked to enough villages to get all the information about what my spy looks like. The problem is, it takes like 3 or 4 minutes to w a l k all around town and check the different f*cking hideouts. THEN THE SPY ISN'T EVEN THERE. Guys. WTF. Either give me a horse in town so I can ride around...

  4. Fix those prices please

    Melting the sword costs charcoal, which is itself a resource. Its a skill, like trading, so making money doing it doesn't seem off.
    Eventually the weapons you make should be valuable enough to make you much more than their original costs.

  5. In Progress Quest "Escort a Caravan..." doesn't pay anything

    Ok, third time. This time I got paid an unmentioned sum upon completion, something around 700 or 800 denars I think. Didn't see if that happened the first time but it definitely didnt happen the second. Will reply with more results if I can.

    Title says it all, I've done 2 different quests, both of them say they'll pay me 'costs on the road', then I still pay my full retinue fees. Not seeing a change in inventory gold / day either. Is this bugged, unfinished, or something else? Not angry, tho. I'm loving this game so far!

  7. Can't forge, they say "You must rest and spend time before you can do this action"

    You probably already did some stuff like breakdown other weapons, or your character is injured or (?). I had that, waited a day in town, then forged and had no issues. Did resting in the town help?
