I guess that's the 'best' communication we can receive on the state of the game then - "--you will receive these changes. It also won't be years before that happens." Not even confident/PR-safe enough to even factor that to 'months', or even 'quarters'.
I still don't get why TW refuses to share the beta development updates (despite what reasons you provided). Because then we'll assume it'll therefore be imminent (as if that can't just be communicated in a sentence alongside the update)? That's the excuse? Or this 'reduced beta collaboration' as if then it's our fault waiting for pushing expectations for a game that's been 'officially' released a year ago to be finished.

All I (and many probably read into) see is that it is taking time, but don't see the effort; because that effort is being completely veiled via non-communication or very boiler-plate non-commitment.

The content of the current beta was released months ago; technically (as should be) it should just be about making it stable (blocker/crash/bugs) prior to transposing it to 'official'. How is even that taking months? We're not even talking about some upcoming beta '1.3' content at this point or whatever; if even getting the beta to a stable version takes this (as in still indeterminate ETA) long.

Regardless of the seemingly countless folks issues, I just wanted to say (exclusively as a console player (PS5)) that the only issue I have come across ingame personally was a crash related to clan-member formation commencing an engagement... which was bug-fixed at some point I wasn't watching for, so thank you.

I also wanted to state that I, and I'm sure others, are only desiring of "Disable Aging" to make it to consoles. Don't know how few or many, but we more simple folk are around out here quietly watching and less outspoken like the rest. Do not get discouraged by the outcry of mods and mod-breaking, as these aren't even on console and bringing consoles to parity with PC vanilla features is a solid goal and we're eagerly awaiting them.

Keep up the solid bug-fixing, and we all hope a quick release to live is near.

P.S. just a little note, food for thought. "Disable Aging" truly is the only thing a lot (not all, but alot) of us console players are impatient for. If this feature alone is able to be added to the menus in a small hot fix, I would love for you to forward the suggestion to the development team and maybe to see if such a thing is possible via hot fix. Again, just a thought and a suggestion. I, and I reckon another of other console players, would get a lot quieter very quickly if it were possible.

This is something we can improve upon in future updates.

I understand that people are excited about these features and that is fundamentally a positive thing. Believe it or not, we are also excited to share our work with players. Still, there is no magic button that will create a sufficiently stable build - it simply takes time and effort. We could share the beta build later in development and communicate what we are working on later, but that would only create the illusion of you receiving it faster / having to wait less from the point of knowing about it (while in reality the reduced beta collaboration may well extend the overall time or lead to a less stable live release). Similarly, I assume everyone is agreed that the beta shouldnt make it to live with significant known stability or performance issues.

What is clear is that you will receive these changes. It also won't be years before that happens.


Forum ranks are based solely on time spent online. Aka recruits are newly registered users. Grandmaster knights lived a year of their life on the forums.

Obviously as a console player, with not a whole lot of time to play, im excited for the cheats, but that felt like something that could be implemented very quick, and the rest of the content that's coming with the update i wouldn't think that it would be representative of 3 months{possibly more by the time it comes out} work.

We'll see tomorrow. In regards to creating a separate branch for Beta v1.2.3 when Beta v1.2.4 is out - this is not something we can accommodate for a number of reasons.

• Beta is provided in advance of a Live patch with the intention of gathering feedback from the community at an earlier point of the patch publishing process - allowing us to act on it before the patch reaches the broader player base. Creating multiple Beta versions could create confusion on this front with people providing feedback on older Beta versions.
  • Beta Hotfixes aren't announced on Steam and our Website, just on forums. Fewer people are therefore likely to see that a new Beta has been released and switch to it.
• There's a limit to the number of branches we can have via the Steam Betas system. If we were to include all of the Beta patches and hotfixes, which are usually more frequent than their Live counterparts, we would need to start removing older patches at an earlier point to free up the space. Taking into account the number of players that play on Beta (minuscule compared to Live), I don't believe this is the right path for the broader player base that still plays on older patches.

While we gather and act on feedback from the modders during the Beta as well, our support for mods focuses primarily on the Live version. As such, if you would like to avoid mods breaking with patches, I advise you to stick with Live patches (which have past versions available via the Steam Betas system).

Yeah, without setting or failing too many expectations - it could be a little while longer. Appreciate everyone's patience on us getting this to you. I understand everyone on Console is super eager to play it with the Cheats and the improved support for controllers - which we included in the dev update video. That was a fun experience heh, turns out it's not as simple of a task to record someone play on a controller as I thought.

It has steam's update history charts etc thing. Bannerlord use several internal beta in steam. If internal betas start to get several update in 1 week usually next update is close.
