Alright, enough with the personal attacks please, you're not funny or mature, i stopped laughing at you a while ago and this is getting pretty stale; just remove it, and leave us be. Quite frankly we don't care about you, and only talk about and laugh at you when you pull this sort of attention seeking crap. I suggest you do the same about us.
Edit - Corrected a typo
While a forum post is all well and good, i've gone ahead and set up a Petition on Change.Org
https://www.change.org/p/taleworlds-interactive-release-the-source-code-for-mount-and-blade-warband-to-flying-squirrel-entertainment?
It's a little bit more formal and 'proper' in my opinion, if this could be added to the Original Post that'd be great
The actual reasons could be endless but.
I think it maybe the same reasons as us. Apparently us being a kingdom isn't right as we don't have "enough men" to suffice the rights of not just being a house yet we have 90 so far.... I believe the same goes for you since you are "the great heathen army" was thousands of men, not just a clan of around 50 men or whatever.
It has nothing to do with numbers, Einstein. When you claim an entire kingdom or region for yourself, you are essentially robbing anyone who wanted to play as an inferior house of that kingdom or region of their sovereignty as they technically would be inferior to you lot. It's in poor taste and looked down upon by anyone who has a modicum of common decency. It's also **** all original. Do some research, read into the subject. Come up with something that will set you apart from the other 15 Great Heathen Armies and Kingdoms of Wessex, as you just witnessed...
I'm more than happy for people to create names of sub units under the GHA, i don't care about that stuff at all, we took the name because we like the collective identity of the GHA, and the famous characters within it
I have now been in Calradia for near 2 months, and in this time i have seen much. From the feasts of swadian nobility to the slums that pass for nordic villages. I have also seen how Calradia is stuck in a never ending cycle of war. One that can only be broken by an outsider, someone who has not know this cycle all their lives, somebody like me.
After much deliberation i have decided i shall bring Calradia under the rule of a Fenrisan, but doing this will not be easy. Their are many steps i must take before doing this. The first being to gather an economy that can support an army, one that can take a city.
So, over the past month this is what i have been doing. I took jobs where i could, from bandit hunting to cattle herding, you name it, I've probably done it! As well as this i have been trading, and rallying troops, So far i have about 40 men, most of this consists of mercenary, this has to change. I need to train real troops. From the information i have gathered, each of the Calradian states has a specialty, which i shall list below
Swadians: Heavy Cavalry
Vageirs: Foot Archers
Nords: Heavy Infantry
Rhodocks: Spears and Crossbows
Saranids: These are a jack of all trades, but have very good heavy cavalry
Khergit: horse Archers
I must utilize all of these specialty to my advantage, and exploit them as weaknesses when the time comes.
For now, i must keep building up my economy as well as gathering military support, and support for my claim
The sun rose early in Wercheg, much earlier than back home at Fenris
I decided to take a walk around the streets at dawn and read the markets, it turned out there were many opportunities for a trader in this 'Calradia' By high noon I had made up my mind, I was going to set out for Curaw, a city in the center of another nation state, 'the Grand Principality of Vagiers.
Gathering my Fenrisian companions, I bought salt, apparently a good that would sell well in Curaw and rode out.
Salt did sell well in Curaw, I bagged myself a good 200 denars profit,
The market rates in Wercheg
Reading the markets yet again I found out that Durquba would pay a hefty sum for iron, something that Curaw sold relativity cheap in comparison
Riding south I passed the small village of Tebandra, and decided to stop there for a supply refill.
Only when i arrived did I see what had happened. The whole village had been burnt and pillaged, the handful of souls there fled when i arrived, fearing I would do the same. The sudden realization of the true nature of these Calradian 'nobles' hit me all to fast.
The devastation the Nords left
They all struggled for power in this eternal war, never caring about who or what they are destroying. This made me angry, I knew something had to be done, and from then on, I vowed to create a haven in Calradia, one where any man could come to, and feel safe. They would be protected, safe and allowed to prosper.
I would bring the morals and ethics of Fenris to Calradia
But before any of this could happen, i had to build up money to support such a haven, and so i carried on, but never forgetting the pain and suffering inflicted on those villages, who had never done anything to anger the nobles, and probably never would.
i don't thin anything short of getting a new PC will change it
Warband has probably logged your IP as banned
don't take my word for it, but i'm pretty sure i'm right
I Awoke to a Roar, and several loud bangs i imediately scrambled to get grab my sword and rushed to the top deck
As i arose from the confines of the lower deck, i saw another ship, a long thin one with a single sail comming up on our starboard side, a group of angry bearded men were stood aboard, readying boarding planks and drawing axes
I rallied what men i could too me, but several had jumped overboard at the sight of these savages.
I hadn't had much training in combat, nobody here had. All i had was the few lessons with my father, who was reluctant to share the full extent of his skills with me.
They lowered the boarding planks and charged, As they did this i heard one roar "I SHALL DRINK FROM YOUR SKULL!"
This had confirmed my suspicions, these were the barbarians that raid our furthest sea routes, which we had long passed, we knew them as 'Sea raiders.'
As they charged my men braced to absorb it, as we both clashed there was a splatter of blood. This sprayed on to both of us, as well as the sea below, turning it red, i don't remember much after that, i can only assume i was knocked both unconscious and overboard, the next thing i do remember was waking up in the dead of the night, on a cold sandy beach of what i was hoping was Fenris Looking around i saw 6 others, all part of my company, i helped them up, and we made a small camp there for the night
The sandy beach i found myself upon
In the morning we decided it was a good idea to move away from the camp, in case the savages came looking for us, we moved north, and after about 20 minutes traveling we arrived at a strange settlement,It was enveloped in mist, and made of wood! what primative people these are, making structures out of wood and not stone.
The town of Wercheg
The town was quiet as i entered, there weren't many people on the streets. One man caught my eye, one of the few in the street that looked civilized. Cautiously i asked him about the town, he looked at me with a blank exspression for a moment, before smileing and saying
"of course sir, this is the town of Wercheg, it belongs to Hertogi Iyra, a vassal to the kingdom of the Nords." I nodded to him, realizing this wasn't Fenris, but the new land i'd been looking for.I wasn't sure how to feel, on one hand i had got exactly what i wanted, a chance to strike out on my own. On the other, i had no supplys, no resources and only a few of these 'denars' to my name.
I made for the local inn, using the directions the townsman had given me, renting a room there for the night, i thought about what i was going to do next
This brings me up to the present. I'm still unsure what i will do here, strike out on my own, save enough money to get back home. Whatever i do, this log shall record my adventures in this Land, this brave new world...
Now the adventures really begin, please drop some comments and advice at what im doing wrong and or right
I'm also looking for suggestions on what to do, i want to make something interesting and original, so i'm letting you... the readers decide
Prologue: The Journey
Peasants roared as we set out from the harbor.
My company and I, all heading out to seek new riches, the lure of far, unexplored lands was to great to resist.
As we finally got out of sight of the harbor, i looked to the stern, and sighed. This may well be the last time...
