The module I have is 0.71, for sure. Thats what it says on the menu screen, and it also has 0.71 version files within its directory. I also have extracted it fine with winrar, with no unexpected end of archive errors.
If I get time, I will redownload it and see if that makes a difference, but i suspect it wont. I dont see how that will affect how an included mod is performing.
Please dont assume when people report things that they are technically incompetent - I work as a software engineer and I am also a fellow modder. I can provide saves, if you want and that would help
Yeah send me a save I can look at it. Gender issues are my responsibility; I'd like to see what is going on with your toon.
You could email it straight to me at
[email protected] else link it here either / or.
There are doubtless bugs but gender confusion shouldn't be one of them. I assume you're using English language version, not sure old translations have the hundreds/thousand+ dialog strings converted. It's also possible one specific string is still old format, while other strings are not. Its a string by string issue; the old ones have "My {lord/lady}, it shall be done!} format, and rely on Mount & Blade warband 1.158 module framework to set male / female, which only works for human race. After changes the string is supposed to look like "My {reg33?lady:lord}, it shall be done" assuming the target of the gender test is the player. There were at least a thousand such strings massaged in the last month. If ALL of them are wrong then the test itself got broken. If one dialog in freelancer is off, then that's the 1001st string needing to be adjusted. It's a little more than find and replace as the snippet in braces {} constantly changes, but I suppose its not going to be difficult to see which case.
I'll look at the most recently uploaded file and see if something regressed. If I agree that somehow something went wrong after thanksgiving I'll make available a patch to go back 2 days. It's a bit of a tender subject for some. Thanks for reporting, as it would be painful for the official release to have somehow gone back to old behavior after a month of changes, most of which were discussed on this board quite openly.
