    Tweaks thread has a collection of small changes for the game, including the one you want to stop companions from leaving. However, many of them are not updated to 2.023, so you would need to figure out how to apply them on a new version

    Tweaks Tool is the game source WITH tweaks that you can choose, again, including that one. It is based on 2.023 (as of this post), and it will be updated to next patch when released. You can choose either to change your game.

    Are you refering to this tweak:

    Change the negative effect companions have on each other's morale Reforged/2.0/2.004

    I read that one, and it seems it just removed the other companion negatives, but they can still leave? Or is there another tweak in there I'm not seeing?

    Is there a quick and easy way to mod VC so that I can force companions to always stay.

    I got the option for "no you can never leave or I'll kill you" once, but then I haven't seen it since and all companions are leaving etc.

    If adding the option in is too difficult, then just a simple modification so that they never leave at all.

    Yes, they will. But kingdoms that are further away from each other tend to end up fighting less often.

    Yeah I just saw the first Friese lord in Wessex. How do they do it exactly, do they get in boats, or is it a AI cheat.

    So far our marshall has called two campaigns and just chilled out in the castle for a few days and then broke the campaign up lol.

    On a side note, any way to mod out companions leaving. I saw the "stay or else option" but it seems I could only use it once.

    Will Kingdoms attacked across water? Like I'm playing in West Sax, and they are at war with Friese, but I don't see any of the lords or marshall attached across the straight?

    Is there a way to reset Floris or something? Would love to have him back.

    Any idea on this oddity? I know other games have consol commands to "call"/"reset" NPC characters, does Warband have something similar so I can get Floris back.

    I don't understand the people talking about graphics, M&B is obviously not about graphics.

    For me, I would pay full new game price for the exact same graphics with just these new features:

    - Massive battles, even using the battle sizer mod it seemed the Warband engine had issue with large numbers on some machines (widly different on different machines)
    I would even take a graphics hit to get more performance out of the engine.

    - Unlimited Multiplayer Campaign, be it Co-op, Pvp, whatever.
    Unlimited in that any number can play (god some games annoy me no end with like 2 players max etc etc), and play as you like be it co-op or as enemies, you choose in game just like you do in SP

    - Incorporate the improvements of all the mods in Floris mod pack.
    They are just essential now to be honest.

    Of course everything else would be great, but these are by far and away more important to me than anything else.

    Yeah I managed to pick one up the other night in a seige... I think I couldnt find them before cause I was going around all the dropped items (after the bodies have disappeared) but I think they only are on actual musketeer bodies...

    Ran into another problem last night... I read on here that the best way to get more castles is to take them, renounce your oath, and then go take the oath again... Only problem is that Karl doesnt want me back lol. And now Im left with Polish and Cossack troops, instead of my cool looking swedish musketeers lol.

    Operation Flashpoint isnt looped at all... And is flippen huge lol...

    Not to mention that MnB seems (from what I can tell) to just auto generate maps based on a few parameters (the general area of the battle, hills, forests, snow etc)... Making a practically limitless map would be easy as in MnB... Hell I wouldnt even mind map looping... Anything is better than invisable walls...

    That sounds easy in principle but the reality is, the more you and your enemies walk the more the more land would have to be rendered and few computers can handle that.

    Thats a bit bull to be honest... Mount n Blade isnt a graphical game... And I remember way back in the delta force 1 and 2 days the maps being practically limitless... And of a higher graphical quality... Not to mention the map of Operation Flashpoint which is much larger than what would be needed for MnB and is insanely more graphical...

    It adds a surprising amount of satisfaction =w= Sometimes I'll even go running around the field looking for bullets to do it once the battles done.

    I usually do a slow trot in front and down the line of my men also lol...

    You can find bullets on the ground? Where? How? I always run out in seiges (even more so now that I got a double barrel) and cursed that it wasnt like war band with arrows litering the ground lol.

    More on topic... I purchased a handmade broadsword the other night and it wasnt as good as my scottish one that cost me like 2k lol. They really need to make these things super special somehow...

    In winning a battle how does the loot drop work?

    In my opinion it should just drop all the dead and wounded mens armour, weapons, supplies... And then its divided up by lots based on value...

    So after a big battle... There should literally be hundreds of items as every solider killed or wounded would drop at least 4 or 5 items at least (boots, gloves, hat, armour, weapon x 4, horse)

    Im talking about the Commander under the "Go to Town Centre" menu option where you get the dude to train you some troops...

    Not that I'm aware of.

    You have to either take them all, or leave them all. As far as I know, they'll wait indefinitely once prepared, as long as you don't try to hire anymore (which will automatically attempt to add all of them to your army).

    Ah damn... Yeah I figured out that they stay there forever haha and have since gone round to every castle and city and ordered some for when I need them...

    Kinda sucks that you cant only take a few at a time though...
