  1. Suggestions

I love this mod and can't play Warband without it. Great job...

    My suggestions are:

    1) Allow party members help you train peasants. Equal numbers versus equal +1 number of villagers.

    2) Farmers can upgrade to Mercenary forces or faction recruits.

    3) Option when speaking to Village Elder to "Return Rescued Villagers" you can now return farmers and peasant women to villages for 1 rep.

I really like this mod. I have three problems/suggestions.

    1) Trees seem to be pixel-ed at far distant. (I have the max settings on)

    2) The new face pack makes all the women in Calradia look like hags. (Except the ones with the dark faces)

    3) In the arenas/tournaments maybe use the old sounds of battle. (Whenever I hear someone screaming in a tournament I'm thinking...geez over act much? I just hit you with a wooden sword.)

    1) I don't understand what you mean..

    2) That would be true, but it may be 'intentional' as I prefer 'realism' to 'beauty'. But if it looks too odd, I will fix it in the next version(3.0)

    3) The sounds in tournaments also use battle sounds, so the sounds can't be seperated. But scream sounds that are too odd will be changed in the next version.

    Anyway, thanks for your suggestion.

LMAO... thanks for the reminder, but still it seems battle in plains doesnt put dense forest like basic PL

    Yeh. That's true.

I used terrain textures from PL and used grass&bushes&trees textures from Realistic Colors. So, lands are look like the PL's, but plants seem as Native's(Realistic Colors just lowered down brightness and saturation of Native textures).

The plants without trees will be changed as those of PL's in the next version, so you will be able to see dense forests. However, I am not going to add PL trees, because compatibility will be a problem, more specifically saying : a problem with 'Multiplayer'. Native trees and PL trees use different meshes, so you may be faced with 'invisible barrier', if you installed the mod to Native.

I don't want to see players stuck with invisible barriers or hiding behind their own illusions.. So the trees will not be changed in the next version.

    Thanks for the reply.

The tree pixel effect for me means that at far distance the foliage looks like a group of dots not leafs. I've had this problem with polished landscapes before. I have video maxed I don't know what else to do.
I agree with realism but even in this time frame a girl at 18 wouldn't have so many wrinkles.
The sounds not a big deal just thought it was funny.

Keep up the good work, I like it and now won't play MB:W with out it.

Forgot to mention, i saw that many of you mentioned swadian knights. Dont you get bored by using them? too easy. 50 knights can easily kill a 200 men army. way too easy and boring.

I'm doing this right now because just one game I'd like to see the Swadian's win and not get mass curb stomped back to Haringoth Castle. Still you really have to help them out, especially in sieges.

    Here's my question.

Can your enterprise in a town be "sequestered" by the lord who controls that town if he hates you after it's built?

I know if you have negative relations with the lord before, you have to make friends or the town won't let you build it. What about after it's done.

    Thanks
I think I managed a severe relation drop with one of the kings, but my business kept running - as long as they're neutral or friendly at the time it's built, you'll be fine.

Thank you that's was what I was asking.
  6. Exploiting my bad fortune.

    "And then the plague hit"...

     Fun times.

Actually this is pretty normal. Seems to me in most games I play thur, kingdoms rise and fall some becoming powerful just to be knocked down again.

It's kind of up to the player to really control the events to make them have a lasting effect.

  8. A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS

    Happy Holidays to all!

Over the river and though the woods I go and all that.
  9. What's the fastest way to Train army's in M&B warband?

Well the above poster said quests and level your companions which is true.

    I voted for Mountain Bandits.

No horse (anymore) had them in M&B Vanilla
Limited range maybe a few bows or throwing javelins
Many Mountain Bandits don't have shields

Easiest way I know to raise Sharpshooters, most bandits don't even make it to the skirmish line.

Is there actually a way to unassign skill points by cheat? Would be pretty cool if there is, I always have a smattering of wasted points.

Funny this...I was just going to start diggging around the forums for the answer. Anyone know how or if this is possible?

    Thanks
  11. Mount and Blade / Warband Stamina Runs

Ode to the days of being single.

Most time non-stop I can get now a days is 6 hours.

It might actually be a good thing, I would so play this game all day on the weekends.
  12. Guild master quests, what are they for?

    Hahaha

I see, you know I used to read quite a bit but never got into that series, thought about picking it up, used to work in bookstores when I was younger.

But alas no Perrin is a older english version of my last name, shortened from Peregine (meaning fast falcon). I have been using it in most MMO's I play including single player Warband. Hopefully no one will tell Robert Jordan or I might get sued for infringement...lol
  13. Guild master quests, what are they for?

You just totally lost me "Tinkers" and "Wolves", are you playing a mod?

"Escort Caravan" quests go from one city to another, normally across pretty much the whole map. The caravan is blue color text so you can find them right outside the town you took the quest at. Then prompt them follow you to the city their suppose to go to. Make sure you talk to them outside their final destination or you won't get credit.

The caravan will be slow but they've got at least 12 caravan guards to help you fight.

    Hope that helps.
  14. Guild master quests, what are they for?

I have to say that the "Escort Caravan" quest is my new favorite. Around 1000 exp and couple hundred denar. Easy, levels you and companions quickly in the beginning. You just have to make sure you've got at least 12 troops of any type.
  15. You know you've been playing too much Warband when...

When you pop on to the forums to check for new AAR's on Thanksgiving and you can't wait till the relatives leave so you can play...

Happy Turkey or other meat product day!
  16. Do you recruit from ANY village or just certain factions?

Whatever faction I play is the only faction I recruit. Used to use the MageLord tweak that allowed you to recruit from captured fief but get your faction troops. Don't use it in Warband.

Tried to start Khergits like 3 times now, rage quit every time. I like a challange but I find the pain from smashing my head on the keyboard to great.
  17. Buy land for a profitable venture

    monnikje 说:
Perrin: Actually, the tax inefficiency does affect me. Since I've got so much fiefs, I hit the maximum tax inefficiency and it doesn't get worse. But with every business I opened, I saw the amount of tax inefficiency rising. So it also goes over the business profits, but those businesses don't the percentage. The only reason I get a positive balance, is that I've got so insanely much fiefs and businesses, that the small bit that's left after the tax inefficiency is still more than enough to compensate my army costs.

The masters can summon raw goods from anywhere they like. They pay some kind of average price for it, but I'm not sure how they determine that.

Hmm ok so if I open 4 or more business I'll start to see tax inefficiency like having more than 3 fiefs. Good to know, thanks.
  18. Buy land for a profitable venture

Well from what I'm reading in the Me, Floris AAR he has multiple fiefs and business and tax inefficiency still doesn't effect them. The one thing I'm curious about is when you tell you business to buy the raw materials locally, but you never see that material in the merchant screen in town. Where does it come from and how does the game figure the price.

Example: Yalen never seems to have iron, doesn't produce it at all. I set up an iron works in the town and tell them to buy the raw material locally. Somehow they do but from where and at what price?
  19. AAR: Me, Floris | Completed | Chapter 60 & Epilogue posted (19-09-2015)

Sarranids must die. If you take out the only other major horse faction you only have to worry about slow moving footman armys. Plus you keep your main kingdom intacted by usurping there land.

Love the AAR, it's a must read everyday.

Well here is same weirdness..I updated to the latest versions of Diplomacy. And it changed the 1 back to a 0. So it was turned off in my game. I don't know why that mod would even effect that part of the dialog but oh well it's working again.

    I'm happy.

Simple if the mod replaces the edited file then the changes will be over written.

I know that.... My question is why is it replacing a file that isn't even active in the native version, but it doesn't really matter it's working again.
