  1. Bannerpage Mod: Troop to Companion Promotion and Challenge "Faction Leader" to a trial of arms quest bug

I'm sorry to say I'm having the same issue, and someone else is reporting the same on reddit. Not trying to stir up anything---this mod is absolutely BEYOND amazing---but I'm having the same UI freezing after giving the new companion a name. Here's where it gets weird.

    1. First time it happened, there was absolutely no problem. Named my guy, got a companion. 100% perfect.
    2. Second time it happened on a new save, I accidentally hit the wrong dialogue option.
    3. Third time, I was testing to see if it would ever trigger a second time in one save, I used cheats to level up quickly and get a huscarl, and it triggered no problem. This made me realize my second save would never get another chance, so I started another save.
    4. Now, on the fourth save, the one I started specifically so I could raise a huscarl, it won't work :/ The game doesn't freeze--the newly named companion sways back and forth, but no button triggers anything. I just can't move past that screen.

No key bindings changed. I didn't touch any files. I don't know what could've changed between the first few times when it worked without an issue and this time when it simply won't work :/

Again, I love the mod! I just wanted to notify you that this may go beyond that one guy's individual problem.

EDIT: I re-installed the mod, trained up a Nord Recruit to a Nord Huscarl.... same thing. Freezes on the screen where he says his name.
  2. Early Access Release Report

    Keep up the good work!
  3. Opinion: Your toaster computer is your own fault, not Taleworlds.

Translation of OP's post: "It's your own fault for not being able to play this game because you don't have to the money or technical know-how to build a PC that goes way above the requirements that TW set forth for you. You should be richer and smarter than you are. Then you'll deserve this game."

I'm all for not blaming the devs for people's slow rigs, but the arrogance here is palpable.
  4. Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord TIMELAPSE

Yup, right now there's not much to prevent snowballing of one faction over the others. There are some cheesy ways you can prevent this (buying loads of grain and camping out in a beseiged settlement until the attackers begin to starve), but overall everyone has the same issue, albeit with different factions for each person/playthrough. Which ever faction begins making progress first quickly outpaces everyone.

I'm sure TW will be looking to make changes. I think making sure lords can recoup losses very quickly--even if the player cannot-- as it was in Warband can help, since one bad battle loss on day 25 won't doom a kingdom to oblivion.
  5. Need More Info Save Bloat leading to insanely long load times and times between screens

So, if I understand you correctly: you're not suffering from save bloat? But you might be suffering from the memory leaks? The leak could be slowing down your game even if you don't reach "critical mass" and max out the memory...

But again, if you're having the trouble even when exiting the game and booting it back up, it might be another issue.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.
  6. Low FPS???

From all I've read: this is a common problem and seems to lie in the fact that the campaign is just much less optimized. There doesn't seem to be much you can do about it except lower settings in-game or tweak your computer's graphics settings to make it run as best as possible.

I know that doesn't help much, but you're not alone and everyone (myself included) seems confident that TW will make this better as the update and optimize the game over the course of the EA period.
  7. Need More Info Save Bloat leading to insanely long load times and times between screens

I'm not sure what you mean by save bloat, but I have heard reports of some significant memory leak in this game; the longer the game stays open the slower it gets, eating up more and more memory as you play. Rebooting the game seems to help. Also I'd kill for only 6 second load times. Going into a town I'm getting 25s+ times! It's better when I first load up, but going form desktop to actual gameplay takes me 7-8 minutes, so the whole thing is a chore.
