  2. Lasarach Story Thread

Isabel brought her obsidan edged wooden sword out from its sheath on her back, for she heard voices ahead of her. She had been traveling alone to Araton for three days now, and had been fought by five different groups of bandits. If the voices ahead were another trap she would have to be ready to fight again. Her armor was not stealthy with its golden metalwork and red cape, but it had seen her through enough fights for her to be loyal to it especially since it was one of the last treasures of her village she still had with her. She peered ahead seeking the origin of the voices.

    Name: Isabel
Lineage (merely indicate Thaltic or other): Thaltc
Power (if Thaltic): Isabel can choose one person that she is touching and temperarily transfer her mind to theirs, allowing her to act using their body while hers remains in a sleeping state. She can return to her body without physical contact, but cannot go to the other body without physical contact.
Equipment: wooden sword with obsidian embedded in the edges to give it sharpness, three throwing spears, ceremonal armor.
Description: Isabel was ruler of a small village near Ariaon. She was a good ruler, but was in charge at a bad time; and had to preside over a drought. In order to keep her village alive, she first requested food from all the other villages around her, but when none of them helped her she taught her best warriors to be thieves as well, and they started raiding at nighttime, avoiding a direct battle by striking quickly and unexpectedly. After her time of crisis was over, she stopped robbing, and life mostly returned to normal. When she heard another of the villages she had once taken from in hard times was having a drought of their own, she ordered all of her people to give them their excess food as a way to try to repay what they had stolen. When they arrived, the other village attacked them, believing they were going to be finished off by Isabel’s raiders. She escaped the slaughter, but on arriving back in her own village found yet another of their once victims had had revenge. She is now heading to Ariaon itself, hoping to find survivors of either of her slaughters.

  6. The Tale of Dragar (After Action Report)

I like this story, keep up the good work!
  7. What bandit/outlaw type do you find the most dangerous?

I use a shield a lot, so the forest and taiga bandits are pretty easy. I don't like fighting desert bandits or sea raiders, but  I can outrun the sea raiders of the outer map. I have never seen big groups of deserters, but I have had to fight 10 swadian knights, they ate up my light infantry.
  8. How I Became King: An MnB Tale

It's a pretty neat story, I would like to see more.
  9. How do you stop yourself from quitting and starting over?

I keep three files runnning at a time and play differently on each one. If I'm bored of being a horse archer raiding caravans I can instead pick up a pavise shield and crossbow and work as part of an army. My favorite file is the revolutionary, where I cheat to set up a character that is at war with all kingdoms and only equips from loot.
  10. How to read a book?

There are two types of books: ones that upgrade your skills while they are in your inventory and ones that you read for a permanent stat upgrade. Hold your pointer over the book and see which it is by looking for the line 'while in invenory' or reading %0. if it is one you have to read, go to the camp menu, sselect actions, and click on read whatever title you've got.
  11. Why the hate for Harlaus?

Its mostly because he campaigns less than the other kings and calls feasts a lot more often. This gives him the image of being lazy and useless.
  12. Fast travel - how long?

I played the original MB, and I never knew about it until I tried tweaking warband.
