Is there a timescale for the next update? It has been a while

"Warparties". Is this something new or does it just describe the addition of normal armies wandering.

In the progress/Development thread there is a list of things achieved: one is war parties, the others are self explanatory: but what is this feature?

Thankyou! I am now a vassal. The route I took was man at arms + winning pitfights for renown. When I retired I had good standing with England and then after that I just did one task for King John. I loved this so much, very immersive and engaging. Not many games let you fight under the legendary William Marshall then be given a small fief in Wales for your efforts. Keep up the good work guys!

The joining another persons army as a foot soldier is good, but as soon as I got into a fight this bug happened, so I can't play with the army I joined. It's quite an important fix for ready existing features you guys have. Good to see you guys know about it though!

Very cool mod, I like it. Much better than 1257.
Is it possible to have the formations mod in here? In big battles the ai army's don't attack each other, they just run to opposite sides of the map and rotate about each other forever. Formations fixed this bug in Floris, can you guys implement it?

If you want a one man army character do it. sure leadership helps, but once you get enough renown its not as important. I find being able to tear a hole in an enemy army all by myself is very usefull  (especailly seige defense). But its up to your playstyle. Don't play someone elses way just cos it works. My guys only got like 5 leadership and ive got a max size of 260 from renown + feifs.

As others have said, dont fight alone at level 8 with 40 men. Become a Merc for a faction, its only 30 day commitment and follow the marshall around. Big battles but lots of other AI. After a big victory maybe raid a village or two for moneys (careful you cant stop once you've started).

Ive got 1.5 mil in Sargoth (most of that was made from interest) and get over 200k a week. I used to add the money to the bank but i CBA clicking 'deposit 1000' anymore cos i have so much (1 mil=1000 clicks). I would have to work very hard to spend all the money I have. ~500 days in i'm a multimillionaire with more money than I could possibly spend.

What's the attribute that governs foraging? For some reason it's not showing when I roll over.

when i order shield wall they shuffle to the left and ussually i have to tell them to hold position.

so you need your own faction? or can you do it when your a lord of a castle?

Edit: Or how about, rather than playing the game, I just create in based on my own imagination, without playing the game at all! Then I could do random bizarre things such as 10,000 soldiers in an army and such.

Well that would be fan fiction rather than an AAR. End of the day its up to you.

I would think AARs are easier to write because you dont have to create a ever changing world with betrayel and such. Plus cos people are doing similar things in game they can relate and be inspired to play certains styles (like Floris). Poll it after the Floris one.

Id say AAR. But you decide.

If you are vassal to another faction, it will still work. If, however, your faction is at war with the faction in control of the city, you wont gain any income. At the end of the week when your financial information appears, you will see red text next your enterprise saying "Under sequestration". This is basically like when a criminal skips the country and they freeze his assets. It will still be there though, and will start giving you income again when the factions make peace

gutted! having a go with Floris wont hurt. Play with edit mode on (found in config) on to change you chars appearance, you can export/import him to a floris map (native save is compatable but safer to start over). Floris will give you so much more scope, spesh with diplomacy=epic.

yeah, give it five years and the hardware will be able to give you huge total war sized battles in warband style

I also like to increase battle size from 150, you can do that by following instructions here.

Note this DOES depend on how good a rig you have, no use boosting it to 1000 if its plays like a powerpoint slideshow. ^_^
