  1. Question about the guys who oversee your villages, towns, castles.

Not 100% sure on this, but I believe those stats only apply towards building fief improvements.

Well we have a lot left over ever since we stopped burning villages
I wish you would stop demanding my villagers build statues to your goddess after the old one got desecrated. You guys owe me around 15,000 denars by now.
  3. [LEGACY] Quick Questions // Quick Answers

Another quick question, why do some troops have some bizarre and quite immersion breaking stats? For example, everyone has 10 Weapon Master, lots have tons of horse archery and 0 riding, or other combinations which make no sense...
  4. STOP SOPA

I like to believe Obama would veto this if it got far enough, he will never let it get to the point where he had to veto SOPA. He would only have to send word to Harry Reid not to bring it for a vote in the Senate.

Let me elaborate, in an election year, the leaders of the legislative and executive branches must believe that a piece of legislation is politically beneficial enough or uncontroversial enough to pass. Not many pieces of legislation meet this criteria, and SOPA is made more radioactive by the day as online protest drags out. You can thus see why Obama and even many of his political enemies would never let it even get put to vote in the Senate.

tl;dr: Supporting this Act is political suicide due in part to the election year approaching.

edit: This is an odd location for this, although your intentions are good.
  5. most hardest Town/Castle to invade?

Singal was really hard to take, I lost more troops on the approach than on any other castle.

Just got done holding onto Sarleon vs a rather large invasion force. That was tough, the breach on the ladder is huge and makes it easy for them to get a foothold.
  6. Netherworld Chargers have too much HP.

Hmm, perhaps my suggestion was ill thought-out. I would like to lower their health or armor, just so my AI doesn't constantly swing at the horse and whiff off while the guy on top pulverizes them with his weapon, but it seems others like it this way.

Do you have positive relations with adventurers and treasure seekers mayhap? Syla is of that faction (I think), and can't be taken prisoner if in positive relations with.
I'm not sure, but I also believe it's true if he's a mercenary for a King whose kingdom you have positive relations with (tested 15 times on Oswald de Fleur @ 5 Prisoner Management)

Well troops from Amala are known to be superior to Pendorian ones.

I mean while the Empire was still one, their invasion force was completely devastating all of Pendor, and would have succeeded in its conquest if not for the snake cult. The knights of the old empire were also vastly more experianced, probably participating in numerous invasions beforehand. The knights would of then passed down all their skills to the next generation, and so on, thus leading to the superiority of the Empire knights to others. The Empire knights may not be the greatest armored cav, but they are great at anti-cavalry, displaying their superiority to let's say... Lion knights or Valkyries.

The shadow legion are the old remnants of the Baccus Empire, and because of that are superior to most pendorian troops
(remember that Pendor is a backwards feudal society of Petty kingdoms while the Baccus empire is a unified continent who are a vastly advanced civilization.)

The Immortals are the most elite of the empire knights, so therefore almost gods on the battlefield, their only weakness their lack of shields and mounts.

Ahh, I see, that makes sense. I've always liked the Empire. It's probably my favorite faction followed closely by the Kingdom of Ravenstern.
  9. [LEGACY] Quick Questions // Quick Answers

I've been playing Pendor for a while now, long enough to use each of the Knighthood Orders a fair bit. Why are Empire Knighthood Orders a "step-up", so to speak, of the others, bar a few (Order of the Ebony Gauntlet vs Immortals who are about equal).
  10. Netherworld Chargers have too much HP.

I never said I wanted reality, nor did I say I used Netherworld chargers or even had trouble with them, what I did say is that their health combined with their armor makes your AI troops waste a LOT of time hitting a horse that won't die.

I can't change my troops odd preference towards killing horses anymore than you can. It even makes sense to kill the horse, except in the case of Netherworld chargers, so it's not even really the AI's fault.

Yeah, I typically get the 5 leadership start, then rarely ever put points into charisma, what's so important about it?
  12. Netherworld Chargers have too much HP.

    saerossaeros 说:
I dumbed down all horses in my troop file. Steppe horses have 30 hp, netherworlds have 150 hp.

But even then they are pretty hard to kill.

30hp for a horse? That's a bit low, it's a bit funny to note that a 150hp horse that usually has 500 is still incredibly durable.
  13. Netherworld Chargers have too much HP.

I know these horses are intended to be "otherworldly" or whatnot, but their health is just ridiculous. Combined with their armor they are flat out unkillable. I propose they keep their current armor but get nerfed down to a much more manageable 200hp. Thoughts?
  14. stop doing that...

Even if it is irritating to you, it makes sense within the scope of the game. A lord who defects to you is going to want to keep his lands. Try to only recruit lords whose lands you can defend?
  15. whats with the hideout missions?

I tend to just bring Immortals, Sigismund and Lethaldiran in with me. We usually do well on Snake Cult hideouts, haven't done many others lately
  16. Hmmm is there a suggestion topic?

No official one that I'm aware of, however, get ready for a salivating horde to berate you for not posting this in the "Quick Questions/Answers" thread.

There is no negative to actually owning them during this time

it could mess with your budget, push you into tax inefficiency, pull you into a war with the previous faction, etc.

He doesn't gain the fiefs, his lords keep them. It's obvious he would be pulled into war with the previous faction, he's stealing their vassals!
  18. stop doing that...

There is no negative to actually owning them during this time, it also makes sense. Your lord defects and his loyal troops hold the castle for his liege, and his former allies raid his villages as revenge.
  19. Best difficulty settings

I play on 1/4 damage to self and full damage to allies, with poor campaign AI (curse you tax inefficiency!) and Good Combat AI. I use 1/4 damage to self because PoP would be absolutely brutal without it. Consider this, I can still get 1-2 hit by top tier troops if they get a decent hit on me, and lets not even start talking about arrows nailing my face to the castle battlements sometimes...
  20. Following the marshal in Warband is most annoying

It's always entertaining to capture a city that your current enemy captured from another Kingdom following which your King declares war on the kingdom it's situated in the center of (ie. Nords took Dhirim from Swadia, you take Dhirim from Nords, then your Kingdom declares war on Swadia before you have time to consolidate your power at Dhirim). It happens way too often...
