BlackRain - Try mixing it up. Heavy cavalry DID dominate on open plains. Seiges can be easily turned by you doing stuff. My favourite is jumping over their line and bum rushing the archers, holding off the reinforcements on the steps, where they can only come one or two at a time. If you're finding it easy, try an infanty/foot archer army. Much, much more difficult.

that is sooo much fun lol only sucks if you get stuck on the group of soliders around the ladder cause you didn't make the jump. Death very quickly

I don't mind so much about allies kill stealing especially if I'm fighting 1 on 1. I would prefer that my team is one kill closer than victory than me having a rad k:d ratio. I would be happy to see a lance spear the guy I am about to kill as long as he dies lol. That said, if the horsie gets us both killed like you said, the horsie better hope we don't move to a new map and find ourselves on different teams (or we meet again on a friendly fire server... Team kill muahahahahahahaha)

haha fair call I didn't think about that. If the shield on back blocks arrows you would have yo be able to break the shield to make it fair. Either way it works! Lol

If you see the cavalry coming it's quite easy to step out of there way and then fire a few arrows into them or their horse as they ride off or even put a few into the horse before they get to you. Not much yo can do if they get you from behind though except not be a stationary target. If your worried about your back and there isn't much cover like field by river which has huge open spaces between cover then put your back to a tree and face the enemy and always watch the cavalry.

Also, if you want to get a bit more experience but don't want to wait for everyone to die before you respawn try playing team deathmatch. That way you respawn after a few seconds and you still have a team to watch your back so you can build your skills before moving onto battle which is a higher stakes and higher skilled players (usually).

Seriously though, I didn't beta test but I did play original m&b in it's beta stages and only go onto warband a few days before release so I'm probs still considered a newb but there is notyig worse than dude like that on the servers. Is there a way to mute there comments? That would be rad! Half the time they aren't worth responding to anyway

I hate that lol. I had a similar experience except vs rhodoks and instead of 5 vs me it was 30 lol. I think I killed maybe 10 at the most before going down in a hail of bolts. Not fun lol

First game on a ff server as an archer, accidently shooting allies and then recieving the damage for that shot. I didn't understand what was happening so I was looking around for an imaginary enemy archer shooting me and freaking out. I finally realised what was going on about 5 mins laters.

Did you modify some troops before ?
If no you could try it and wait a couple of days on the map and see if the AI uses those new units. Also make sure that you can upgrade the new units like in the troop trees pictures i posted.
I would prefer to start a new game or export your character i cant guarantee that it works on older savegame

I didn't have any problems saving my game to a different slot and loading that. I just got some new recruits and went crazy killing people to level them up. I have so far used the swadian archers as well as khergit footman. Nice work man!

One quick thing, I reclaimed a few prisoners from a captured lord, and as i leveled them up i was able to use the custom troops with no problems, which is awesome too.

yeah its a definite bug. It hasn't happened to me, but there are a lot of people on here that has experienced it. As far as I'm aware there is no fix, so you probs have to wait for 1.106. It's been around for a while so im sure the devs know about it and will fix it asap.

love what your doing here, sucks about saved game compatibility though. I'll still dl and play a new game though. Maybe for sarranids you could add an elite infantry unit like the Persian immortals or something.

Not much you can do to the khergits though, infantry doesn't suit them

I have noticed it being harder than the original, the AI seems to be smarter eg. Archers shooting my horse instead of me, siege assults are also a little harder for some reason. Me and my fellow lords lost almost 300 men trying to reclaim uxkhal from 160 rhodoks.

nah they will implement a bed that you right click on and select "woohoo" which triggers a cut scene of them making out before going under the covers which move around randomly while making tiger growling noises before a 3D diamond above there head stretches and shoots sparks out the top lol.

Maybe because he has an army full of women they all so the banshee call at once so it cancels out lol. That would be so awesome. You can hear sword sisters etc coming from a mile away lol
