Summary: Bug: rescuing lord in "Stage a prison break" when lord has pending Vassal offer to player results in no relationship improvement with lord. I.e. after a successful prison break, the lord will speak with the player about the offer of vassaldom. If the player refuses, the encounter...
  2. Does "Disguise and sneak through the gate" work?

I was curious to see what happens if you manage to sneak inside a town. I was at war with the town's faction and my chance to sneak in was displayed at 19%. I figured with savescumming that shouldn't be too bad. I tried for 15 minutes and wasn't successful. Does anyone know if it works and...
  3. What is Disorganized State referenced in the Tactics skills?

After a battle, your movement speed on the map takes a heavy hit called "disorganization". It lasts for a couple seconds as your soldiers "regroup". The perk decreases this time. If you want to see it in game, after a battle look at your movement speed. Hover your mouse over the icon to see the details. You will see the Disorganized debuff there.
    Ah! Got it, thanks!
  4. What is Disorganized State referenced in the Tactics skills?

There are mentions of reducing Disorganized State times. What is the Disorganized State?
  5. Impossible to Recruit Lords in 1.3

After succeeding in the conversation checks to recruit a lord from another faction, in 1.3 I can offer every denar I have (2+ million) and every single item in my inventory (comprised of a substantial number of items including smithed overpriced weapons + horse armada + food stocks) and the...
  6. Unable to Donate Troops to Village

I was previously able to donate troops to villages I owned, but at some point within the past few days that option stopped being available. Was there a change that took that option out?
  7. Worth the Price Tag?

To start off, I loved Warband. I have just under 800 hours on it and it is my second most played game of all time. I've been loosely following Bannerlord for a few years now, and I was pretty excited when I heard that it was coming out. Even tried to 100% Warband prior to that (which I quickly realized I couldn't do the week I gave myself haha).

So my question is: is this game worth the 40$ discounted price right now? At base price, it's 50$ for an early access game that, from reading reviews, still has a substantial way to go until it is close to being finished. I know that when DayZ was first released on early access it was only 20$, and now that it is in a full release it has been bumped up to a full 45$. That makes sense to me honestly. But Bannerlord is already starting at nearly a full-price AAA game, which does deter me, considering what I've heard about the state of the game. DayZ is my most played game with nearly 900 hours so I don't mind bugs and glitches galore. But I paid 20$ that game which helped me look past all the downsides of the game and made me not mind being a 'tester'. With Bannerlord, I'm not sure if I could do that after spending 40$ [50$] (I'm very stingy when it comes to money).

So given that, is Bannerlord worth essentially paying the price for a new AAA game?

[ Added a poll for those who don't feel like typing up a discussion and want to quickly answer  ]
I first just voted in the poll, but after reading your post I realized you were looking for advice on whether YOU should buy the game.

My advice is: if you're worried about that, you should not. The game is in early development, which means many things don't work yet, and many things will be changed. For me, the game is EASILY worth its cost right now, but I'm ok with this situation because I like how this game works and know that it will work better in time.
  8. Marry

How i can make my son get married ?
That is the great question of the ages. If you find the answer, my mom would like a word with you.
  9. Bannerlord is mis-advertised by the devs on Steam (yes, even taking into account Early Access)

I disagree with you OP. Early access simply isn't for most people. For me this game has already given me back what I paid for, and it will only get better.
  10. Live as a Bandit

The main things I see getting in the way of this right now is the lack of a base (i.e. hideout), the all-or-nothing resolution of battles (you have to either win, lose, or maybe try to leave with a big loss), and the lack of hiding on the campaign map (i.e. ability to camouflage for escape or ambush).

Small hit and run guerilla tactics are very difficult to simulate. If there's a large army you can't touch it, when in reality a large army isn't as cohesive as that. I'd like to be able to, with a small and elite enough force, peck at it and maybe steal some supplies and kill a small number of men.
  11. melee skills will not help u in this game

Athletics in the 200 range makes a huge difference. In Hideouts I send my ranged team in on Charge, and I can run ahead and flank the enemies with my javelins, moving in and out of cover of trees. I couldn't do that when I started--I would have been dead on approach.

EDIT: also in Arena. Having high Athletics makes the matchups so much easier. Shield + Spear? Easy when you can move quickly.
  12. How the Hell do I defeat Horse archers

I run my infantry and archers either to the tallest hill, or some big barrier that acts like a wall on a side (even if it's not that big), or to the edge of the map, or to within trees... or all of those at once on some maps. I have them face the HA, while keeping an eye to have them face the oncoming foot soldiers when they're in range. I put my mixed cavalry on follow, then go intercept the HAs. If I'm low on health I just tell my cavalry to advance.

I get mixed results depending on the numbers involved and the terrain.
  13. Live as a Bandit

Any mods to do so? Specifically to have a base of operations, like a hideout with a stash.
  14. Prices on javelins etc

That's because price and smithing xp are governed by damage. And throwing spears do enormous damage. Their price is NOT predicated on materials or crafting skill needed.
    The whole system is borked.
In the cases of extreme prices, I don't see it tied to damage.
Nor is it relegated to javelins.

I started leveling up the Smithing skill and found that some combinations of parts turn out to be many times more expensive than a similar combination where you switch out one part for a more damaging part. A couple specifics: Javelin: Harpoon Head + Tree Branch = much more expensive than swapping out for the more damaging Mahogany Javelin Shaft. Also Two Handed Polearm: Warrazor Head1 + Pine Spear Staff = much more expensive than swapping out for the more damaging Long Ash Staff.
  15. Do Tactics have any effect other than Simulated battles?

It appears that your troops can behave better if you do delegate in the field battle. (i.e. F6)
That's interesting! What do they do that's better?
  16. Do Tactics have any effect other than Simulated battles?

Also trying to escape from a battle there is a mention of it affecting how many troops and stuff you lose. Does it do anything else?
  17. Lead Army as a Mercenary?

If you join a major faction as a mercenary, are you able to create armies?
  18. Intimidation with Roguery?

The Roguery perk states it helps with Intimidation, but I've never seen a situation for that come up. Where in the game do you get the option of intimidating someone that gets helped by the Roguery perk?
  19. Why you dont skip the turtorial.

You do know that every level reduces you learning speed for all skills permanently right? So trying to powerlevel/exploit dum stuff like charm and athletics actually retards (what word actually means) all future growth in more important skills that you would actually benefit from.
Athletics is fine later when you've got high riding, weapons of choice and other skills you need but grinding it early is a bad idea dude.
Is this true? Getting points in one skill slows down xp gain in that skill, but you can confirm that it slows down xp gain in all other skills as well?
This hasn't been my experience because I can quickly gain low level skill points even when I'm level 16, but I didn't actually do any sort of quantifiable testing on it.
