The point is that non-noble troops come from towns and town bound villages. Since most Sturgian towns have only two villages, this leads to less available non-noble troops. This is especially felt in the war torn area between Varcheg and Omor. There are 4 Sturgian castles around here (including nevyansk, kranirog, Mazhadan, and ov), but only Varcheg and Omor with two villages each. And going towards Balgard you reach Takor castle villlages before Balgard villages. And Revyl is far away.
That's to get to 275. I'm talking about getting to 330 so that you get 13 influence per day (at least pre 1.2).
Really? That seems like an unnecessary change. You still need 10 social and a lot of time to get there. And by that time it’s likely that extra influence is useless. Now there is basically no reason to get charm above 275 since the base bonus isn’t amazing anyways.
It’s not that they necessarily offer higher tier troops. They give you access to more columns of recruitment. There are also some perks that give you some access, but it still makes a difference. Columns to the right are more likely to have high tier troops because other lords are less likely to have access to them. But high tier troops can even appear all the way to the left if no one is recruiting from that notable for a while.
She leaves? As in the party leaves your army? Or the companion leaves your service?
But how often does this really become a problem? The only time I see independent clans controlling towns is rebel clans. They don't ever seem to expand. And they are generally speaking at war with the original owner kingdom of the town. Eventually they either get reconquered by the original owner or they join some other kingdom and the problem is solved.
That was my thought too until the third one decided to take its fiefs with it when it defected.
It seems that if you do recruit mercenary clans from the prisoner dialog, they have a much higher chance to defect than normal clans. I recruited 3 mercenary clans from the prisoner dialog and they all defected, while none of the 30+ normal clans that I recruited ever defected.
I think you can go up to 20 on cheese butter and grapes and still make a profit. I think you’re missing a zero on fur, but I usually wait for it to get closer to 200 before I buy. For wool, flax, clay, and wood I won’t buy until it’s below 20 and it can be found below 10. It will be hard to make money buying at 30. I would add that pottery is good if you can buy for under 100.
