    They've already had time, and TW got more than 500k from selling the game. MP was a promised feature, it should have been finished when the game released. It should have at least been stable a couple of weeks after early access at the bare minimum.

    Modders have done things in hours that still have not been implemented after years, like a basic in-game admin menu. It took them a year after early access to add invisible barriers to a couple of the skirmish maps, something a mapper can do in ten minutes if they're working slowly.

    I'm convinced that the "MP dev team" is a single person who has MP issues at the bottom of his priority list. There is no other explanation.

    Yeah, enjoy it while you can General I don't think it will be fixed before the population dies. Same thing happened for PC (twice, for EA and full release). It's even worse for console because modders can't apply fixes to the servers themselves.

    I had plans to host the Calradic Campaign module 24/7 which would basically be Native with some extra features (admin tools, automatic swapping between game modes, custom maps, etc.) but I'm not sure when that will be ready. In the meantime I could put Native battle back up if enough people want it.

    Hiring more people to an unorganized, unfocused team can often backfire. Ive seen cases in which one supremely talented AI coder took over the position from a team of 4 guys and did a much better job.
    That can be true for a project with an upcoming deadline. It takes time to get people up to speed. But the things I listed have been ongoing issues for 3+ years with no end in sight. I think it's time to throw a few extra bodies at them.

    A modder implemented an admin GUI with multiple functions in a single day. So it seems like at least some of the things should be doable by TW developers, they just haven't had the manpower to look at them in 3+ years.

    It sounds like they need more employees, in general.

    MP login servers and TW game servers go down and no one is available to fix it, sometimes for days. Why is there not 24/7 monitoring software that pings an IT guy to restart these things? There is industry-standard software for this and it's not that expensive. I can't think of any other game where players have to beg the developers on Discord, Twitter, and forums for days to get servers restarted.

    MP still doesn't even have basic admin functions like changing the map. A modder made an admin GUI with several functions in a single day, and TW hasn't done it in years.

    Server crashes have been a huge issue since the MP beta. Players are patching TW code using harmony just to try to keep their servers stable.

    Hire people for these things, it's been several years you obviously do not have the skills or manpower to fix them.

    The server is either running a mod or using the custom server helper and you don't have it enabled. What server, specifically, are you trying to join?

    The "automated battle switching" is what enables the map/faction voting after each map.

    As for server messages, that will require a mod.

    cRPG has only a week and already killed Vanilla

    I just want Warband spawning but it has literally every weapon and armor in the game available to purchase with gold built up during the match.

    I never played Crpg in Warband. I get the impression that an "over-class" will quickly emerge comprised of players with complete sets of meta gear against everyone else. This doesn't make much sense to me for player retention. Imagine being a new player logging in for the first time with a bag of rocks versus fully plated arbalesters with two-handed swords. I wouldn't keep playing. Correct me if I'm mistaken.
    That kinda happened, though the meta changed as devs nerfed/buffed certain things. For a while heavy armor with giant long mauls was the meta. There were a lot of people who didn't play the meta and just did whatever they wanted, but they were at a disadvantage.

    Move to NA Central. Being NA east cucks alot of West Coast and Canadian Players with high ping, Catering to EU is fine, but when your hurting alot of NA players whats the point? They have their own servers, why cuck alot of us with 90+ ping when its supposed to be our main server.
    Our server was not placed where it is to favor or "cuck" anyone. We moved to NA East years ago because of cost issues. It's funded by donations and there wasn't enough of them to maintain the old server in Chicago, so we moved to a cheaper provider in NY. Moving again would mean changing providers, paying an initial setup fee, copying over all the data/software, etc.

    Cavalry Needs a Nerf

    I have been feeling this for a while but I truly had more fun during the beta of this game than after.. I feel like my experience has been deteriorating with every single MP update, constant nerfs, removal of features, makes me sad
    In beta, infantry had decent throwables that could counter cav. Those are all useless now.

    Cavalry Needs a Nerf

    Rearing should be happening way more than it is now, and stop punishing friendly infantry by pushing them all over the battlefield when cavalry comes in to "help". Cavalry should get reared when they run into friendly infantry.
    The pushing is extremely annoying.

    Last night I was playing battle and an enemy infantry jumped onto a ledge. I jumped up there with him to fight on even ground. As we're fighting, a friendly cav charges in trying to lance the enemy and runs into me. His horse pushes me off the ledge and takes 75% of my HP.

    And countless times I have been pushed into enemy swings or moved so that the swing goes around my block.

    Cavalry Needs a Nerf

    As to cav and why they topscore:
    Cavalry are the damage dealers of your team, while the task of infantry, much like in warfare it always was, is to take in the damage if necessary and hold areas.
    You can't win a flag fight just by cav and cav alone can often do nothing if their inf is not enabling them so each of both do their job.
    As for public: they're way too uncoordinated, so cav goes rampage there, because people are not aware of their location or have neither the knowledge nor means of skill to stop a good player.


    We can talk about balance to many lengths, but it's the usual sorting of the table that cavs on top and stems from the nature of the class.
    The nature of the class is the problem. It's faster, deals more damage, tanks more damage, disables enemies just by touching them, can perform unblockable hits via bump stabs, can strike you silently in the back at mach 3, has a weapon that outranges most spears, and has a very generous shield hitbox. I've seen walls of infantry at a chokepoint with spears and a single cav can just smash straight through them. There's no counter to a cav 1v1, except maybe an archer with all the anti-cav perks in a position that is unreachable by horses.

    And there's no punishment for their mistakes, besides a very brief window where they are immobile that's not even long enough for you to switch weapons. They ride directly into your spear thrust and mistime their lance stab so that they don't kill you first? You stop their horse for a second and then they ride away. They ride into a crowd of teammates? The teammates just get pushed out of the way. They ride into a crowd of enemies? All the enemies get disabled. They ride at top speed straight into a wall? They stop for a second. They ride off a cliff? Take a little bit of damage and just keep riding at top speed.

    It shouldn't be possible for two people with the same ID to be on the server. You would get kicked off when he joined, and he would be kicked off when you joined.

    If he has your game key somehow though, then yeah you need another copy of the game.

    You don't need a new game key. The guy doing the spamming doesn't have your key, he is just using a similar name and the admins didn't look too closely. You need to find the server admins on discord, steam, or this forum and message them about the situation. They can check the logs and unban your key and ban the correct one instead.
