Question about fixing invisible meshes for custom items.

Hey all, I'm working on a mod and I've been adding plenty of new items.  Most of the items are working perfectly, however a few of the items I am trying to add show up invisible once they are ingame, even though no error messages appear. They are equipable, buyable, and everything else, but...

Copying an Item and Re-texturing It.

I've been looking through various tutorials on how to use the module system, python, openBRF, and wings3ds to create and add new items into Mount & Blade and I've made some progress, but after hours of fumbling through tutorials and trying to get everything to work, I figured I'd drop by and ask...

Accessing The Inventory of Regular Troops In-Game

Thanks, but that is a full blown modification.... what I am looking for is a specific, text file edit or perhaps python edit that will allow inventory access of troops.

This mod does apparently have the feature I am looking for, but I want to be able to isolate said feature and use it alone, without any other changes.

I know the mod exists, I've used it, I just can't find it again.

Accessing The Inventory of Regular Troops In-Game

After searching for the forums for almost an hour now with no luck, I've decided to ask for some help. A while back, I found a mod for Mount & Blade that allowed the player to access the inventory of regular, recruited troops, just like they would companions. Upon equipping a recruit, (or...

So I need help (Helping a claimant)!

I'm pretty sure you need a really high relation AND right to rule in order for the lords to follow you, though I'm not certain on this.

One way to improve relations is to let the lords go every time you capture them. This gives you a big bonus to relations. Beyond that its hard to build relations with lords that you are fighting against.

    Charisma too important attribute?

Well you gain one extra party member for every few points of renown. I think every 10 renown or something gives one point. Check the "reports" tab to see how many slots you're getting from renown.  Other than that... load up on Charisma or mod the game

    Pligrims Cloths Bug

I have the same problem. Any time I go anywhere I'm wearing the Pilgrim clothes.  In battle it is fine, but anywhere else I'm stuc in the disguise clothes.

    Becoming King: Share your findings!

So, most of us have figured out by now that one quick and easy route to becoming "king" is simply to take land either by yourself, or take land as part of a kingdom and rebel if the king doesn't grant you land. Now I was under the impression that you could become the king of a SPECIFIC faction...

    Where did my heroes go?

Go to the taverns and look for "Travellers". They will tell you, for a modest sum of denars, where your companions are.  Sometimes they are waiting in different cities, sometimes they are sitting in a dungeon somewhere rotting away.

If they are in a Dungeon, you can sneak into whatever town they are hiding in, bribe the prison guard, go in, talk to your companion and recruit him once again, without even having to fight him out!

Enter The Dawghouse - Mount & Blade Multiplayer Militia

A picture from tonight.  Fun night.  Towards the end the whole team started working together and we ended up having some really great fights!

    How to become a king?

The game isn't out yet. I heard somewhere there will be a "campaign" of sorts to become king.

Enter The Dawghouse - Mount & Blade Multiplayer Militia

Yes, it can be considered a "clan", but because we do not have our own website and such and because we will not be able to play "every day, all the time", we have named it a "Militia". You may come as you and go as you please, as long as you follow the rules and are recognized by us in this thread.

Enter The Dawghouse - Mount & Blade Multiplayer Militia

Greetings Fellow Mount and Bladers and welcome to the DawgHouse! We are the Dawg Militia! What is the Dawg Militia, you ask? The Dawg Militia started as a small group of friends who play together on a regular basis.  We all donned our "Dawg banners", added the appropriate -Dawg tag to our...

    Warband : Total War

This sounds amazing, I really want to try it.

Hopefully when people start modding this game we can actually have servers / game modes dedicated to this type of playing.

Imagine each player controlling a small battalion of Infantry, then seeing the two sides clash in an epic fight while the commanders of each side hack through their enemies in an attempt to reach and kill the other team's commander.

    Duel Server Rules

Yeah this is great, but how can I get in on this?! I really would like to practice my one-handed manual block swordsmanship without getting lanced/javelined in the face.

Idea for a new "fluid" manual block.

Here's an idea, since people are having trouble with the animations, why not make it an option to show a little indicator showing which direction the attack is coming from?  Just like the "show attack direction" indicator, only it would show which direction to block instead.

Some people might oppose, saying this makes it "too easy", but I prefer broad playability on all levels over "Only l33t pr0s should be able to play this game and win". I mean come on, I fully expect a really good player without a shield to beat a noob with a shield, but as it is now, because the system is so clunky, that even your average newb can beat a good manual block user on many occasions.

Manual block should be easy to use, but difficult to master.  It shouldn't be difficult because it is clunky and unreliable, but it instead it should be easy to use but hard to master. Right now its clunky and hard to use and its almost impossible to master.

Idea for a new "fluid" manual block.

Hey all. So I've been playing around with manual block, and in my opinion manual block SHOULD be harder than auto block or someone blocking with a shield, but it shouldn't be such a massive crutch to fight without a shield on manual. Here's the problems I've come across with the manual auto...

Mods, Mount and Blade, and the law.

YouTube is pathetically inconsistent with what they allow or take down.  They leave certain things up while taking others down and there seems no reason to half of it.  I've lost respect for youtube, I've seen them screw up way too many times, haha.
