fastest is more ping dependant, and yes that is a problem. its really not good for the community to divide skill levels by ping levels any more than it needs to be.

this has nothing to do with my opinion about which is superior or which i prefer, it's just an unfortunate side effect.

1 - both nord and sarranid archers have access to superior armor and melee equipment than vaegir. vaegir archers also struggle to wield 2handers if nobody has noticed this yet. their bows are superior at long range but they lack the short bow which is a very real disadvantage when going against the archers of the other factions.

2 - infantry is certainly not overpowered. i agree with mr. x - scimitars are great but prone to glancefest. the bardiches are generally slow as molasses and easily beaten by plenty of other 2handers.

3 - cavalry is certainly not superior. sarranid and swadian cavalry, even rhodok, are generally superior depending on what you're trying to do.

I think vaegir are fairly competent in every class without being the best in any. they are the all comers faction. I agree with many of the points about their bows but i still don't think this gives them a big enough edge to be considered 'overpowered.' archers that can really utilize their bows to make a big enough difference at the ranges that they excell at are extremely, extremely hard to come by. most of those archers would also be able to turn a short bow into a rapid fire sniper rifle.

it's fiddly and becomes another chore of administration without being any more informative than your thread here will be.

viel gluck = much luck - much easier
viel gluck mit euer clan = much luck with your clan - probably perfect

the word 'viel' directly translates to 'much' but is used exactly as we would use 'good' in the situation

these sentences would be comprehended in pretty much the same arrangements in both english and german... so 'you have luck, clan' sounds just as stupid in german as it does in english. there are surely other good ways to convey the message as well.

i don't really care for any of the drama, I feel both parties have acted immaturely and arrogantly, the victory conditions are ridiculous and overblown, and you all brought this war upon yourselves. i hope you will all respect our choice of which side to fight with.

yeah i'm not really involved in this but what's with the factions thing? i know it's your tournament po but are you open to suggestions? just let each team choose its faction? without restrictions on that? it will probably insure people have a better time.

i agree chadz isn't responsible for crpg killing native lol but there are a ton of player that have never touched native. one thing is we ran into a guy who had moved to native cause he got tired of crpg. maybe this will start to happen more. crpg has no teamwork to speak of really, partially due to the nature of the experience system.

native is all about the team play and playing with your friends or a clan etc. adds a lot of lasting appeal. if you like only playing deathmatch or tdm i'm guessing you would eventually get tired of it and move on to another game, and that's ok. it takes time and patience i suppose but the detail of this game in battle mode and the strategies is what i find awesome.

is this a court of justice where liontamer's character is under speculation? are you going to nit pick him down to the core? then why not do the same with gowe? and it seems so many people accuse liontamer of starting all of this, being the root and cause. it's laughable.

no matter how many different words are used to describe this conflict the fact still remains that gowe took it upon himself to catapault insults and borderline racism at liontamer and he refuses to apologize or be held accountable in any way. no matter what madoc came up with about roleplaying this fact still remains unadressed by all parties defending gowe. what kind of negotiation is this? it is biased, and disrespectful to the issue at hand

maybe this can all be avoided by gowe denying he ever said these things and liontamer admitting that he just made it all up. but i doubt that's going to happen and i'm not sure i would believe it if it did.
