What is White Album 2 like, heard about it a bit, the fact it's based around music is pretty cool.

It was a good start, but of course they fumbled the execution. Especially the City Elf origin, where the evil humans are evil just for the sake of being evil, and a female PC has to wait for the male NPC's to rescue her. An elf PC gets few disparaging remarks here and there, but overall, just like always with Bioware, it's a cosmetic change that doesn't affect anything in-game.

Most RPG's are quite shallow in how far choices affect the game though.

I'm shocked at how I barely remember many of the Origin stories considering I put about 200 hours into the game.
At least this thread might do some good and get me to replay Origins

I thought The Walking Dead S1 and Spec Ops:The Line were really good for using these kind of ending, some of Spec Ops endings were really bleak

In the latest edition, someone even screws up the fluff and made the grey knights butcher a bunch of pious sisters of battle just to have their pious blood to paint wards on their armor to ward off daemons (even though older source material has established that no one is as pious as the grey knights, so new fluff makes no sense). But here's a triple

No, of all the things they've done the part that got me was not all the endings of Origins are carried over to 2, which I understand would have been a big task, but it's quite disappointing.

What way do the events of 1 carry over to Inquisition? I haven't looked into that side, but it'd be cool to know.

I think they are experimenting with how bad they can write both characters and plot before people simply lose interest in their games.

Even with BGI and II they were pretty high on the cliche scale and they certainly haven't gotten better with time.

I think they hit a new low when they created a fully gay character that looks like he was modeled after Freddie Mercury and are really pushing the fact he is gay in his character bio.

That's like saying why bother making music when every chord progression imaginable has been used, you can still work with what you have/imagine and what has been done before to create something new, why are songs/albums still lauded for being good/fresh etc. if everything has been done before?
Same with video games, writing or any piece of art for that matter.

Was excited for this game when I heard it announced, but the trailers, gameplay and character pics/backstories are just plain up bad.
The whole companions disappear when you mount a horse is just straight up lazy too.

Played with/against maeda gigant9988 today on ZHG, was fun!
He mentioned it was a new clan when I asked so I thought I'd stop by and say hello and also Viel Glück!
