Long time since I was last on here, think this thread had only 130 some odd pages, seeing a handful of new faces here doing some nice work and some cool requests. Anyways hope I can help however I can.

and Dermeister, not that I know of but been a while, will have a look around see how, pretty sure there is a file you can mess with, but it would be always like that, so if an enemy had the same shield then he would have your herald on it if you follow me.

Pick one the the old banners you don't like to see, and place yours over it. There is a high chance though that one of the other lords already in game will use your banner too. Just try to place the new banner exactly or close to it as possible.

***Don't forget to make a backup of the original in case it does not work out for some reason.***

Talk to friendly Lords and ask for a mission. Sometimes they give you a mission to start a war with a faction.

What I usually do, is at start of battle hold my infantry and archers in a defensive position, while their cavalry come barreling down at then, the archers pick a few off and I send my cavalry to rid theirs. After that mess, the enemy infantry is still far away and you can join your infantry in the ground after putting your cavalry on foot or in a safe place.

I like the melee battles but enemy cavalry is what keeps me on my horse.

Depending on enemy cavalry size compared to your army, you don't need to wipe them out first.

Certain mods also have some fixes to fighting against cavalry (spear wall, less mounted units, "balancing", etc.)

In one of the mods, Native Expansion, you can loot those after defeating someone who wears it. You need some decent looting skill though to get anything good. Not sure if Native can loot it, haven't played native in ages.

just had khergits rip apart nords. Khergits are not underpowered they just have to be used right. With roughly the same group of people, khergits won 3 out of 4 maps, village was only loss but we ended up taking a few wins from rhodoks. Please do not change khergits, yes horses are easier to hit and maybe khergits did get shafted by higher horse costs, but when taken care of and harassing their enemy, khergits are still just as deadly. Khergits are still good versus other archers and foot troops, just need to get use to them.

Agreed with Pagan, price is too high at the moment for many people to buy it. Unless there are going to be a lot more features that have not been disclosed or completely done.

Still doesn't mean it will not kick off in Eastern Europe, but as for the United States many people are not as interested in the books or the history of that period and area. For instance, Warband offers multiplayer. That is and has been its main attraction for many months now. The graphics upgrade is nice and all but this game isn't super graphics focused if no one has noticed.

I would love to ride into battle with hundreds of winged hussars charging towards some limey Swedes and Ruskies, but as it stands now there is a mod being made in this community with the same basic idea. I will wait until either word is out that the community mod is being canceled, or if CDProjekt's expansion will prove to be a lot better, but most of all more historic, than the community version, maybe a price drop would help too.

Well they are working their way there, right now they cheer at the end of battles like male troops. Still haven't seen any spit or fart, maybe I have to pay more attention.

Exactly, look at all these people here, most have been playing vanilla and other mods for many years now (I have been on and off since before it was released). I don't think there are any discounts from taleworlds themselves, but if you find a discount from retailer why not buy it?

Here is part of the reason for this guys. In Poland, the books that this mod/expansion is based off of is really popular, same with the movies. So by making a hopefully super mod to sell, they will at least make money to Polish people in Poland and across the world, as well as other Eastern European nations. As for price, I looked it up and can't find a price for it. It is suggested for Autumn like Miko[PL] said.

Now me myself, I loved the books, and if the reviews for this are somewhat decent I will most likely end up buying it. It was just announced too, not sure when but it is very recent announcement, so hopefully they can add maybe new features before any deadline. Can't wait, dzięki Miko[PL].

Today I was playing and was able to use a board shield while on a horse. I believe I was holding shield when I mounted, so maybe that is why it left it on. I did not try to switch between shields, but I'm fairly certain board shields aren't supposed to be usable on horseback.

This problem still persists, went through a few patches. So just in case it was overlooked or came back;

Board shield equipped before mounting horse, doesn't get put away like Mount and Blade single player mode did. It was still functional, was able to block. Note: board shield can only be armed before you mount the horse, if already on it will not let you equip it.

If it helps, this was on the Siege mode, I was Rhodok Crossbowman, on Saddle Horse, version .560.

Third year, Architecture Major, IIT

I started on Monday 24 August. Had only one class that started at 1:50pm, got to sleep in. Finally left for class at 12:00pm, got there early, met up with some old friends. Slowly worked our way to class, met professor, she is laid back. Got out of class early and left back for home. I love college.

Few things;

1. When you apply for beta invite, you have a choice to post your cdkey, if you have beta you have no legit cd key. There is a small chance that you can get in beta without legit cd key but it suppose to be higher odds if you have legit, full cd key.

2. This is only a Beta though, so even if you get into the beta, when the game comes out full, you most likely will still need to buy it. Thus getting a legitimate cd key that way.

3. Warband is, as of right now, completely separate from Mount and Blade. Most likely since it is a Beta, it gets its own folder and its own launcher. So you do not need to do anything special, such as hitting a certain level, in regular Mount and Blade to play Warband, just need to get invite.

I am going to give this a "bump", in case more are going out.

Well, there are a few people that organize once in a while, but without a team speak or side dedicated voice system then it is hard to get soldiers to work together without standing exposed to type orders. even still most people will only somewhat follow, for instance, one guy tried to organize a shield wall as Nords vs Vaegirs, we had only 6 guys out of maybe 16+ that joined in and the rest stood a distance away from the wall.

There are a few people that do type annoying bs every kill they get but that can be overlooked.

Me personally, I grab an infantry with best shield and try to cover an archer.

And I agree, clans and organized teams moving around can easily beat a mess of troops, but after a few rounds every plan has a weak spot exposed and unless one team doesn't adapt, then they will die a few rounds. Sad they only have it in US servers for now, feel sorry for the dedicated Europe and other players.
