I am at the quest of Wooing the Farmers and Jarls, the jarls won't give me an jobs. And when I do tasks for the farmers the Jarls seem upset that I help their villages. Any suggestions?

I just started play Mount & Blade and I seem to have only one game save. Is that correct? You can't have several game saves and pick which one you want to go back to?
