Where is Sweden?

Finland should definitely be added as well, and make all finns run around without shirts wielding birch logs as clubs

I'm also interested, where is this rgl_config file supposed to be located?
    Never mind, found it

Idea for a small feature to ad a bit of immersion

I was thinking it would be neat to be able to wield some weapons eighter one or two handed, in the case of viking conquest, mostly battle axes, and 2 handed swords for warband. I know there already is a similiar thing with the bastard swords, but my idea is to have different strenght...

Has anyone found the Ulfberht sword?

As far as I know, there is no such thing. I went through the brf files just to check out all the new stuff added to the game, but didnt notice such a sword. (the only thing should be the letters on the blade, right?) so I'd guess there is no ingame sword named such. Nothing a quick retexture mod wouldnt fix tough. Plenty of variation in the norse swords otherwise, alltough I highly doubt its really that accurate historically that the people only used the classic viking style swords.

    Idea for the world map

    Do not look here 说:
I'm not saying about game mechanics either. I was pointing at the fact, that on campaign map player is supposed to "physically" be in certain point of said map instead of unspecified place, moving pawns around it.

I dont really see how it would be any less immersive. the kind of map I have in mind could function exactly as it does now, except all interactable objects like towns, parties being sprites, from far out parties could be just colored dots and upon closer zoom be more detailed images of whatever they're representing. Not to mention that with a simple map editor, devs and modders could create far larger maps with a lot less effort, and thats enough reason to give it some tought in my opinion.

    Idea for the world map

I was playing a bit today and an idea popped in my head about the world map, not just only for viking conquest, but possibly something to consider for future TW releases. Instead of the 3d world map, why not replace it with a simple drawn 2d one? It could have potential to be even more detailed...

    Battle size

I'm not really an expert, but the game runs fairly fine even in high settings anywhere except in the world map and bigger battles, and considering I get tolerable framerates in vanilla warband even at 150 battle size with max graphical settings. With 100, Warband runs smooth as butter for me.

    I'd like a refund.

I think its hardly the fault of the brytenwalda team if the game is not perfect at release, its pretty obvious it was rushed due to the set release date. While on the other hand it didn't deliver what was advertised, and is little more than an overhaul mod (that could've been just as well been released as such) this still has a lot of potential, given some polishing, and frankly I'm happy to support something like this over some AAA cashcow titles, wich are released halfway done intentionally and the fixes are sold as dlcs, now thats unforgivable in my opinion.

    Battle size

Thanks, I'll check that out. Shouldn't really be the players job to fix the game playable, but meh, some flaws from a release like this are understandable.

    Battle size

For me its pretty much impossible fight any jarls or lords becouse the fps drops so much with the minimum 150 battle size. :/
Curious thing tough, even if I ramp up every graphical settings to max, the estimated performance says 109% yet I get 10-15fps on average in bigger fights and quite bad stuttering in the world map

Three Things the DLC got very right

    Digirati 说:
These are just my three things, and there are more than three.  But in light of such negativity, I thought it would be nice to add the other side of the coin: Those surprising things added to the game that take M&B to the next level. I've got critiques, too, but some of the features added to the game have really improved it for the better.

The Music - The music for this game is excellent, really evokes good feelings. When I went to a monastery, the holy choir came in right on cue. Definitely enjoyable, suggestive of the time period while also being modern.

Your Refuge - This is absolutely brilliant, and I squealed with delight (unabashedly girlishly) the first time I realized I could store some stuff in a chest of drawers inside the dingy little shack.  Being able to garrison men without having to go through the process of vassalage was also very cool.  I can wander the countryside, collect men, and bring them back to my garrison--which trains them as well.  It's just an excellent way of adding player housing to the game.

Owning ships - A huge improvement from Native.  Being able to fight at sea, choose your ship, build it, micromanage who/what gets on your ship, etc.  This has made trading for me a lot more fun, even though we're at an early age at which the idea of being a 'merchant prince' didn't really exist yet.
Feel free to add your own 'top 3' things.

I agree on the music, some tracks just send chills down my spine  Other than that, I think the story is exellent so far (haven't finished it yet) The refuge and plenty other little features really add immersion.

    Battle size

Nope, just checked and the slider in the options only ranges from 150 to 750, unless i'm missing something. is there any difference between the steam and taleworlds versions?
I bought the game from steam.

    Battle size

Hi everyone! just got VC and played a bit. So far loving it, other than the bad performance and framerates especially on the world map and bigger battles. Standard Warband runs at solid 60 fps at max settings and 100 battle size on my rig, so I was wondering if its possible to somehow mod the...
