  1. For all new players and some old ones.

For the record, I had heard this, but had no way of verifying it.  I think the same goes for a lot of us.
Out of curiosity, how did this "commonly known fact" become so commonly known?  Did Armagan mention it in a thread somewhere, or were guys in beta testing it when there were three guys on a server?
  2. Formation Battle Sundays!

This sounds awesome!  One question though:  with that many people playing, won't the lag be unbearable?
  3. Steam or Taleworlds?

You may have guessed it folks. I'm back and ready to buy the new expansion. Not that any of you probably remember me as I only brushed the community and spent most of my time neck-deep in the old game...back since .4 or so I believe. When it was really really cheap. X
I thought the earliest version released was .623?
  4. How much would you pay for the original animations?

Really?  I think the new ones are a vast improvement over the old.  The only thing is they might be a little less straightforward, and therefore require some acclimatization (somebody got a word-of-the-day calendar...).

  6. How to assign custom groups?

Treebeard's right.  Once you go into the list menu where you see "Unnamed group X", just click on that group and hit the "Rename Group" button (not quite sure on the text).  Once you've renamed the group, you may need to click it again so that the troop's group type text changes correctly (you'll see what I mean).  To use these groups, you can either hit backspace during battle or go to your controls menu (in Esc->Options->Controls), and see what the keys are for "Group X".  If you have any questions, please ask.
  7. Alternate Download Locations?

Number one best thing about Taleworlds?  Their ability to make games.
    Number two?  The community.
  8. Download link

    Snolak 说:
As a real fan of the game, i was expecting to download the final warband at 00:01 on the 30th of march (last night), but i was looking on the Taleworlds website and didnt found a link... this morning the same, what is going on!!!

In the FAQ of warband, you can read this:

    Q  What is Mount&Blade Warband?
A Mount&Blade Warband is the sequal to the highly acclaimed medieval mounted combat game Mount and Blade.

Q Does Mount&Blade Warband require the original Mount&Blade to be installed?
A No. Mount&Blade Warband is a fully self contained game that does not require the original Mount&Blade game to be installed.

Q Does Mount&Blade have a free trial download?
A Yes. Click here to download the game from our Downloads section

and the link lead to the former M&B buying page!!!! ok, it is writen "Mount&Blade" and not "Mount&Blade Warband" but that has nothing to do in the warband faq page.

it is very unclear.... when and where can i download warband? can you download and try it like the old M&B or do you have to buy it first?
QFT.  I've spent the past several hours (off and on) checking to see if there was a link from the site, and searching for an answer as to whether or not TW would sell the game directly.  It's really irritating that there's no thread simply explaining where and when one can buy the game.  I forewent pre-ordering the game on Steam because I want to support Armagan et al as much as I can, but soon I'm just going to get it from Steam.

Btw.... the term "he" is not appropriate ... I'm a girl ^.^ (yes we like games, too)

In the English language, if a person is of unknown sex, it's "he." If you want to avoid this, however, there's an option to list your own sex in your profile.
I thought we were supposed to use "she" now, as retribution for all the years women were subjugated by the horrors of the English language.  One could also use "thon" as a gender-neutral word, though it doesn't work everywhere, and I guess should be used in conjunction with "one."
  10. Best place to Buy

So they're for sure going to allow us to buy directly from the site?  Why isn't this clearly posted anywhere?  Or am I just not looking in the right place?
  11. Help With SQL

Yeah, I wasn't using Visual Studio's query builder correctly.  I was trying to make my own parameters, and they were being declared as ansiStrings, rather than nvarchars.  Thanks for your time, Janus.

If anyone can help, I now have another problem.  In the 'SELECT' statement, I select values from other tables, including coil name, material name, and now that I used an associative entity, several employee's names (each row in the entries table links to a row in an 'operators' table, which contains that particular job's employees) as well.  However, in my DataGridView, the columns I selected from the other tables don't show up.  In the query builder, when I 'execute query', they show up just fine, but when I actually run the program, those columns don't show.  Does anyone have any ideas?  And again, thanks for your time.
  12. Help With SQL

Hello, I'm building a program for an accountant at a factory that produces rollformed metal products.  The program will be used to track production reports.  I've decided to use an SQL database to handle everything.  The database contains the following tables: Coils - Types of coils, primary key...

IQ tests also include various questions that are reliant on knowledge, which I think is absolutely ridiculous.
    I agree.

But man, this IQ bs, my IQ is 145 and you don't see me running around yelling HUZZAH! Look at me, my IQ is high!
    You just did.
    I agree.

The mouse plugs into whatever it wants .

The fan is working again. I took a look at it and it seemed as if it was sitting low, so I touched it and it was hot. I pushed up and it slipped into place and began working normally. A few days ago I dropped a lamp onto the case. I thought it might have loosened a wiring or something, but obviously it just knocked the fan out a little so we can rule that out as a symptom. I can't imagine it how it would affect it since temperature wasn't an issue (the fan cools it down by a few degrees, and I guess helps more under higher loads, but I was having the usb problem with minimal loads).
    *cause

I've had a recurring problem where the power cable falls out of my internal DVD drive, and the system (Vista) freezes up for minutes at a time, and I always have to shut down, fix the problem, and restart.  Are you sure nothing like that is happening?

If I may propose an idea as to why everyone's reacting so vehemently to your posts:  for a lot of people, having several gaming consoles and a new computer don't really seem a necessity.  Many of the older patrons here live on their own and have jobs, and probably can't afford such amenities.
I'm a 21 year-old university student, and I certainly understand how everyone's feeling.  My parents' generosity and my two jobs (on breaks from school) have allowed me to live relatively comfortably, but at least I realize it, and try to show my appreciation whenever I'm home from school, by helping out around the house.

The thing that bothers me personally about your posts is that you sound like you're blaming everyone else for everything, saying that your sisters get all the praise, all the rewards, and that your parents are basically miserly assholes who've given you a terrible childhood, ignoring the fact that they provide you with food, a home, presumably clothing, Internet access, and probably most other amenities you need.  You also tell us that you're too busy to get a job?  Bull****!  You're fifteen years old, man!  Plus, as said before, if you really don't have any time, then how do you plan on playing two MMOs?

Ultimately though, the point I'm trying to drive home is that you need to buck up and grow a pair, bud!  You CAN get a job and you CAN stand up to your mom, and you DON'T need to cut your hair!  (I used to have hair down to my nipples, though I now have a completely shaved head.  )  Oh, and my last bit of advice?  Actually listen to these people!
Dont need to cut my hair she will force me to it before summer is over
Yea I am too busy to be able to get a job becouse when I am able to do something I want I spend time at the computer, uh yea my sisters do get mostly anything the yungest one(she is older than me) is going uni now and have shopped for soon 50k I belive while when I go to uni I will need barely stuff for 5k maybe 15?
uh yea tell me this when I have finished upper high ok.
Me blaming people actully no I am just 100% of being bullied on school have 1000 chores per minute at home and LLI where drives me nuts at the moment.
Being shot at with a bee-bee gun in every single body part so dont lecture me on pain.
And probebly other things I have forgooten.
hmm ok I understand that a job will help me getting it but my mom will just put it in my BANK ACCOUNT not in my piggy bank.
yea when I start second year upper high I will probebly need to get a job since I will probebly share an apartment with a couple of friends.
I would gladly halp around the house, but they get really mad when I say NO. I have beein doing this since I started in fiftth grade?
So then...what are we supposed to suggest to you?  Because apparently you have no way out and your life is simply awful, and all you're doing is *****ing about your life.
The thing is, you can't expect a bunch of teenage and early-adult men to sympathize with your feelings, especially when you're new to the forums, and no one knows you.  Excepting your family (I could be wrong, but I doubt I am, and if I was right, you'd just deny it anyway), no one gives a **** how you feel.
  17. questions about strict parents

Sorry, I thought the average age of this forum was ~16-17, so "older" would be 22+, with most [older patrons] being between 21 and 24 (ish).  I could be wrong, though.
