How does it know if I've checked the email or not

And I got an email about that message. Guess I had been quiet too long and the forum decided "Lol you not getting emails anymore."

Someone messaged me. Apparently the forum had dropped the "Email me on every new reply on this thread plz" thing. I did a change, as far as I can tell it's working fine now. Can others confirm?

The host did a PHP update thing on 21st of March, but I did check the twim page itself, didn't check if the posted images were actually showing up here, so that may've been it. Also, this thread has an "Unwatch" button on it, so I'm guessing I'm watching it. Not getting emails about it though. Probably something in the settings

Yeah, the page is designed to allow you to upload images even if you don't allow it to store cookies. They're just a convenience for someone who wants that little extra

Just tested, WORKSFORME. You accepting cookies and do you have ipv6?

Due to some problems with SQL databases on my server (this one isn't part of the problem, but this one might be momentarily affected because of the problem), TWim might have some downtime, or failure to save images you've uploaded in your personal list.

You are accepting cookies, right? And no extensions which would clean cookies whenever you leave a site?
If yes and no, will need to know more about your setup

Changed a thing on TWim, which checked for valid IP addresses on the call, never considered IPv6 might not work with the function, which made adding images to database fail, thus they couldn't be linked to any "accounts."
Let me know if it breaks for people who had it work before and/or if it fixed it for you if it was broken before.

And doesn't help if I don't know the last few of 'em. In case they somehow upload with a different ID or without an ID or with the right ID but something else doesn't work.
Also I meant a fixed link. Like last forum had something like threadID.html#new which always took you to the newest (unread?) message.

Okay, to help looking into this, could some of you that have it not working send me a PM/DM with links to the last several files you've uploaded?
I'm really not sure where to start, but I guess looking at thos might give me a pointer..?

Just gave it a shot myself, drag'n'dropped a random .png from my desktop to TWim, refreshed the page, it still showed up on the top of the list. This on most current Pale Moon browser.

Edit: Presuming you've posted the things you've uploaded and got the links that way. Or just upload a bunch of new files and make them not show up or something.

Nop, not a penny. Then again, I've not done much with/for it. Though now that four days of Damn Busy are over, I might be able to look into what might be up with it.
Also unsure if it's only two people who use it or only two people who have a problem with it. Can anyone report in that it works fine for 'em?

I mean, links to https on any image should work, I just need to figure out how to make all the links within TWim to link to https. You would like to think it's simple, but it turns out to be to not to be!

Turns out fixing this **** will take more effort than a drunken J can sort in an evening. Will have another look into it tomorrow.

Vaguely educated guess is that whatever browser you're using doesn't allow showing images hosted on http when the page itself is loaded under https. Or possibly browser extensions doing it. I'll look into getting quote-unquote "secure" connections to TWim with Let's Encrypt!

Though if/when that gets going, it would require all the twim links to be changed from http to https all around the boards. Or you could change browser settings to something more sane. That is presuming you're allowed to change how your browser behaves.

Just a heads-up, bumped the PHP version on the server up several steps, with any luck I managed to do all the necessary changes so it'll work without issues. If you find something not working right, drop me a line.
