1/10, not enough transgender gay feminists fighting alongside me. Not buying on release.

And thus our day did come. Killing Prince Phillip caused an instant mass rout.  (M2TW Britannia)

You haven't experienced The Saboteur until you punch a cow and see what happens.

The worst thing about it is that the map doesn't work properly on 1080p, the different layers don't scale properly and there's no fix for it other than playing in 720p
I played the entire game with the ****ed up map and didn't realise it was a bug until I googled it. My way of getting around was basically to beeline it to the marker in the most direct route possible. Usually through fields..cows, German tanks...

Most of the kills were by the Dunedain spear guys, with the shield wall ability they are pretty much impenetrable. Especially to ork scum.

Hm. The UI and the unit cardsf look especially neat. Are you using a submod? I really want to play this, or any iteration of TATW, but I always find the CAI to be so impotent and weak, and without the sense of impending doom I have to fight against with tooth and nail, it makes little sense to me to to indulge in the campaign at all.
Divide and Conquer submod 1.2, purely because it lets you play with every faction rather than the normal 7 or so from TATW. Dunedian Rangers are tough to play as economy and recruitment wise, but their archers double up as swordsmen also Aragorn is OP.

Is there a new version of Third Age out? Because I don't get those Dûnedaín spearman in my game.
Its the Divide and Conquer V1.2 submod for Third Age. I've never played TA before so the whole change to economy and recruitment is hard getting used to.

As above, yeah they recovered. Probably took a few hits of friendly fire from the General's bodyguard. Isn't recovery chance also based on what they were hit by? For example an arrow to the knee won't kill them or whatever whereas a sword to the face is a different matter.

It seems to activate by default the moment you move them anyway. OP Rangers ftw.

This being the first new Ubisoft game I've played on console since AC4, I'm having a blast with it. Stumbling upon cartel members preparing to execute civilians then silently taking them out is satisfying, I think I've only done the first 2 story missions so far, the rest of the time I've bumbled about killing sicarios. The vehicles controls/physics are a bit iffy but meh, AI is decent but overall it feels fresh, not your standard Middle East, kill the Muslims shooter. I'll most likely buy it on release, also on single player is there a point to being a passenger? I was under the impression your AI would drive you to a waypoint but apparently not.

Wasn't exactly the hardest mission I've made especially since just a 10 round barrage obliterated enemy forces, more of an experiment to get arty working properly. Basically a joint assault with the US (out of shot) on a rebel held village which has been serving as an AA outpost. The mod is "Polish Modern Armed Forces" or something or other.

What are you playing right now?

I went back to Hoi3 after a long while, decided to start off as Canada expecting them to have decent IC and leadership and manpower....should have done my research. In any case, built up 4 infantry corps and a light armour corp and went rampaging around the Med conquering Portugal then invaded Italy on my own, got halfway up and ran out of manpower then got swamped by every Axis member in the area...Italy, Romania, Hungary, Germany, Bulgaria. Evacuated back to Sicily. Sat there at the end of 1942 before giving up.

What are you playing right now?

Friendly humans...oh if only. I only turned down the difficulty once during the later levels, purely because on Hard the items I needed to craft to scare the alien away weren't spawning and it was impossible to get from the room to the exit without dying. The easier the difficulty, the more things will be available. It probably ruined my chance of getting the "complete game on Hard" steam achievement but oh well.

I also found out the hard way that the tracker can be heard by the alien as well as androids...speaking of androids, **** those guys.

Anyone else played Alien Isolation? I was a bit put off by the 14 gig download (my internet is slow) but bought it anyway, and I'm enjoying it. Plenty of tension, though I wouldn't mind some more (friendly) human company than I have had so far and less quaking in the shadows.
I completed it on Hard...which was the recommended setting for maximum scares. Loved it, made me jump and scream like a girl..a lot. Nothing like sprinting down what seems a "safe" area only to hear the hiss from a nearby vent. I think I spent 70% of the game crouching around the levels.

What are you playing right now?

After seeing various screens and videos I caught the Strike Fighters 2 bug and bought the Europe campaign. Does a good job of balancing sim and arcade, feels like IL2 1946 but in the Cold War, one thing I can't figure out is can you click and scroll the map when you press M in flight? It seems you can only zoom in and out which is annoying, also any mod recommendations?

    Battlefield 1

Maybe I was being overly dramatic but with so little world war 1 games (especially shooters) on the market aside from Verdun, I think a lot of people were expecting something true to WW1, instead they got semi auto rifles, red dot scopes and SMG spam. But that is the Battlefield way I guess, history buffs will be turned off by it, BF fans will love it..like Marmite.

    Battlefield 1

I'm not expecting 100% realism from a Battlefield game, but if you're gonna set it in ww1...ah well, gotta pander to the ADHD kiddies.

    Battlefield 1

I was actually kind of looking forward to this being decent...then I saw alpha multiplayer gameplay footage where one of the SMG's had a cross style red dot scope attached, and banished this game to the back of my mind forever.

So you two have inspired me to finally learn HOI3 since I've finally got a free weekend. Deciding to play as Yugoslavia with the goals of:

    A) Surviving
    B) Expanding into the rest of the Balkans

Played up until the fall of Poland last night. I'm in the Axis, I've annexed Albania and I'm gearing up for an invasion of Bulgaria. So far so good.
    You....bastard!

Meanwhile I took just took Athens from Greece as Bulgaria, and Germany decided to invade Poland in April of '39...

What are you playing right now?

Well, it was my first ever playthrough of the game so it was a learning experience. Hungary starts off with a relatively smallish army, and I wanted to get the hang of the whole command structure/order of battle, bad tech research choices hampered my military fighting ability as well as low officer ratio. But I know now what to do for next time. A lot of people say start of as a major if you want to learn, but as a newbie there's so much going on in the first place. I still managed to do some conquering anyway.
