It can probably go into this thread:

Why are modern soldiers (I've seen it on US, UK and now heavily on Ukraininans) carrying scissors in a somewhat privileged and immediately accessible position on their vests? I haven't seen it in older wars and suspect it to be a recent (NATO?) thing. Why scissors instead of knives?

Oh, and I was on a shooting range with a Tokarev TT-33. Against all expectations, it turned out to be actually a very sleek, elegant and nice gun.

Could be as simple as one person did it, so now everyone does it. My flight medic when I was flying helos always wore shears externally on her vest. Quick access for expediently stripping clothes from an injured body part. On my own gear, it's just the most convenient placing for movement and access to have it strapped to one of my tourniquet holders on an external position on my gear. There's also been a cultural shift that I've seen of everyone being more interested in first aid. So everyone is carrying basic trauma supplies now, which includes shears.

I'm assuming you're speaking of Adorno's face and not the bridge.

    Your Car

Yup, manual. In an economic practical car, I would probably go for an automatic but in a lower powered sports car, there is no point in it. Funny thing is that pre-facelift Toyobarus are now very hard to come by in Czechia, but there is one in automatic available for quite some time and noone wants it

Could just have something to do with the general scarcity of used cars these days. Used car market has been wild around here. I could sell my Miata which has 75k miles on it for the same price I got it in 2012 with only 14k miles on it. And people are scooping them up at those high prices! It's crazy.

That's a good choice in cars. Did you get it in manual? I've thought about getting one myself but I'll be holding on to my little Miata for a while longer until I can get the new Nissan Z I think.

2016 U.S. Presidential Elections: The Circus Is In Full Swing

    • Consistently attacked the media, which is literally your liberal safeguard that protects you against autocrats and mob rule. THIS IS NOT NORMAL BEHAVIOR.

Can we please stop sucking the media's ****? It's all curated trash. No one is giving you the news any more, they're giving you their opinion, which is the only way 24/7 news media can keep making money, is to fill the dead air with endless bought and paid for political pundits.

2016 U.S. Presidential Elections: The Circus Is In Full Swing

I live in Texas and people are wearing masks. Probably different county to county, but I personally don't see people not wearing masks. Unless you're talking about people out doors and socially distant from other, in which case, hell no, I'm not wearing a mask while taking a walk outside away from others.

Anecdotal, but my parents are hardcore republican, and they voted by mail. I know lots of older folk who did. Hard for me to believe that the vote by mail split wasn't at least 80-20, especially since old folks tend to be republican, and they're worried about the virus due to their age.

2016 U.S. Presidential Elections: The Circus Is In Full Swing

Most republicans i know don't think the virus is a hoax, they just legit believe that for young people there's more risk to their health from being locked down and losing their job. The theme seems to be, keep working with safety precautions if you're young and healthy and stay home if you're old or have at risk conditions, and stay home if you even have the sniffles. That's basically how it's been handled lately in the military and we've had very few deaths due to covid. 9 service members and 8 dependants. Meanwhile our lockdowns have been causing lots of stress and depression among the same demographic and we've seen a drastic increase in suicides and attempted suicides.

Millenials have been complaining for a while that Boomers aren't exiting the work force, well now would be a perfect time for Millenials to start moving up in their work places. But lots of people wants to lockdown everybody regardless of risk.

So i looked into it more. Rings in the coif are binding with the rings in the hauberk. If i just wear a surcoat or tabard over the hauberk that problem should be fixes. I can also use some bindings on the neck, that would help mobility too. I think period bindings depict ties on mail coifs to make them more form fitting.

My hauberk is also flat ring rivetted. :fruity:

Edit: Put it all together and just gonna say, surprised how hard it is to turn my head. Didn't think a mail coif would resist twisting motion so much.

    Time to invade Sicily.

It was never on for me on the old forum. If it was an option on the old forum, it must have been defaulted off. And yes, I already figured that out.
