Definable playstyle in the very short battles and rich backstory in the back of the box of the game, in the game map, the other 50% of the game all factions play the same and the backstory influences nothing on how they make decisions and how the diplomacy works. People on this forum don't think the game is bad, we think the game is lacking on several areas that we've been criticizing and that TW has been ignoring, relying on modders to add the features we're talking about.
I'm having similar problems but Bannerkings additions are pretty cool enough for me to work around them. You should deactivate the diplomacy option on the Bannerkings tab, that should help a bit
Financial success? He did "X" to boost his unfillable stomach of ego.
what I mean is that its not reliable, therefore unusable
The problem is that is too difficult and there's way too much requirements to make it consistently reliable in combat. In Warband it had so many uses, I used in multiplayer a lot to counter spear attacks and get a free hit almost always, it took a lot of practice but once you get it you're done, here there's so little situations you can use it and even if you use it, if one of the things you've said are wrong, you get a hit on yourself and it's not worth the risk. So, in my opinion, chamber could just not exist and it wouldn't change anything
Don't forget the horrible multiplayer situation where Taleworlds failed to provide not only stable servers to the big mass of their communit but also failed to provide servers to the other part of their own community that isn't small at all, and actually still active... in Warband. Jesus christ Taleworlds, you ****ed Latin America so hard that they're organizing another cup in Warband. Imagine working 10 years in a game only for making your own players to go back to the old, potato based one in an era where everybody has a computer to run this game. I mean, I want to move away from my "mean" era with Taleworlds but replaying this game it's terrible, the game is still barebones and I had to add mods to make it interesting and fun. How is that Bannerkings and a couple of modders had to add the part of this game that isn't just a skeleton. "huhh that's what mods are for" no, mods aren't for making a game feel complete. I pity the console users that are going to throw this game to the trash when they realize there's nothing to do but rinse and repeat and die of boredom. I mean, they needed a mod that makes you see your child in the Keep, why the **** can't you see your family like such a dumb piece of small attention to detail but they keep updating things that should've been from the start. I can't, I can't even with this.
Yeah, starting one with bannerkings now, didn't knew it existed. I think Taleworlds might have killed the modding community? Warband had a stupid amount of modders making their own projects but for Bannerlord it seems like a wasteland by comparison. I don't even think half the "total conversion" mods will get finished either. What's going on?
I gave up honestly. The game is absolutely boring. Maybe I don't find Bannerlord appealing anymore at all, it's always the same sadly.
I kinda get what you mean, Taleworlds has big issues making their options manegeable, not to say they're pretty terrible at it. The Warband AI mod that turned them into gods allowed you to change the amount of chance the bots had of blocking, or feinting or anything, which made it less annoying in the situations you're talking about, while also keeping it difficult, it also depended on the levels but Looters blocked well there too. Taleworlds won't add such a thing because I guess that would mess their UI or something.
Feinting is a normal ability anyone can do since Warband and it's a purposeful mechanic. In fact, AI "Brainy bots" mod for Warband made it so the AI can faint and hold their attacks to trick you the player and made the game way more interesting. In fact feinting is something you can do in real life lmao. It's not a glitch, it's an intended mechanic. Use it. Unless you just want to spam the click button and murder everyone which is kinda boring in my opinion and requires no skill.
I quoted the wrong post, I meant to quote Sireal's post.
