    Yes I had the same issue, rev 261 fixed it for me.
    When I give them a move order they switch with melee weapons, then I order them to fire at will & they switch back to bows.

    If you haven't changed the max pre-render frame try to.
    The vanilla engine can hardly deal with more than 200 units on my pc ( i5 3570K & gtx 560 ).
    I gave up after trying everything that's possible, now I just wait Bannelord & hope for a HUGE engine improvement.

    Damaged arm when using bow & crossbow will hugely decrease rate of fire & accuracy.

    Can someone explain why archery damage is so low

    I've done some tests about crossbows & bows.

    Crosbows damages aren't modified by stats or level, they will always do the same amount of damages.
    Bows are weak with a low lvl character, but damages increase with powerdraw & skill.
    With powerdraw at 10 & weaponskill at 400 you will be able to two shots a knight with aprox 95 armor & something like 100 hp.
    Maybe bows should be rebalanced a bit.

    You should try to use a proxy.
    Ask google how to if you dont know, it's simple & fast.

    Had the same problem, just hire the Trainer before the engineer and you're good to go
    Ha... I have always hired the trainer before anybody else, hence my not seeing this.  :razz:

    Yep, you can recruit him before the engineer, but If they are captured, you may have some trouble to get them back both

    I hope that next revision will fix this weird problems.

    About prices, I think all "low-cost" items should be more expensives, I don't think any peasant could aford a horse or a sword even if it's old.

    General Suggestion thread - 0.97Beta.

    Can't you merge villages & manors ?
    Less parties, less laggy campaign map I believe, more simple management.
    Removing manor's treasury, for now you earn the village's taxes directly in your wallet, but have to visit every manors.

    There are wars, but no fights.

    It seems that my scripts.txt was corrupted. ( I don't know why, maybe svn update + savegames did it )
    I deleted it then re-updated svn, I think that solved it.

    Unbalanced spears

    Ok, I switched the one handed spears type from "polearm" to "1-handed".
    Now the one handed spears don't stop cavalry charges anymore, only 2h do.
    I've also disabled the spears overswing.
    I think this tweak increase realism & balance.
    Slightly more deadly charges if you have enough cavalry to break the ennemy lines, otherwise, cavalry will be trapped into ennemy infantry.

    I'm talking about this fact :
    I wait until the ennemy footmen are engaged into close combat with mine, then I charge their back with my cav, which are heavy armored knights, the last line of ennemy infantry simply face the charge with pikes to stop & beat all the knights in few secs. Even if there is 2x more cav than pikeman.

    I never noticed this in any other mod.

    The problem isn't about cavalry rushing into spears.
    I just don't understand why a 1 dmg taken from aside does stop me, even if i'm on foot.
