i found 175 to be the # for me.  too many negated tactics skill and made the game unbalanced in many ways.

you can't always access the encyclopedia.  for instance, maps come in handy when you are offered a quest and you have to give an answer right then and there without access to encyclopedia.  you can use the map to see if the village is worth traveling to or not.

plus some people aren't good at memorizing. 

what you can stockpile food in lord's hall?  i never knew this... how is it done?

edit: ok i found the chest in the lords hall... can't believe i didn't notice it before.  can i stockpile fresh meat and will it stay fresh?

you can increase the % of lords being captured using one of the txt tweaks.  i have mine set at 50% and it seems to be just right.

hmm so 140 is considered too many... didn't know this and i was carrying around 160-170 size army having to look for fights all the time, not to mention trying to collect all different kinds of foods.  i'll have to go with a smaller army next time.

i believe you need to visit every lord and try to persuade them to join your cause.  investing some skill pts on persuasion would make things easier.

i thought so.  i read another guy saying you press stand closer 3 times, then you have to press spread out 3 times to get back to default formations but i guess he's wrong.

i noticed that you don't have to check in with the lord to finish the quest and claim your reward right away, but you're saying don't check in with him at all until way later?  last time i did this quest, i took my time going back but the negative relations hit still happened.  when can you go back to him and not get the negative relations?  after the war is over or something?

regarding the raid caravan quest, do only dishonorable lords give you this quest or can it be had from any lord?

Does TaleWorlds ever run download discount specials?  The reason I ask is I see this game for sale at a major retailer for less than half than what a key costs from TaleWorlds.  If the cost was close at all I would just simply buy the key from Taleworlds... but double is hard to stomach these days!

just buy wherever it's cheaper.  i got mine for $6 at biglots and even amazon was selling it for under $9 until recently.  no need to pay extra for something you don't have to, right?

dang and i don't get crap from my +100 rating village.

is +100 the highest possible or can it go even higher?  i have a school in that village and i haven't noticed it going up from 100.

does the village's prosperity matter in this?

yea be careful what you ask for, i have 4 castles, 1 town and i am spending a lot of money to keep them garrisoned.  every week i have to come up with enough money so make sure you can financially support being the master of all these holdings.
