Which castles are in dispute between the factions

Maybe 2-6 years ago I read somewhere on the forum which castles factions argue about, and is the reason they initially go to war. Something like: "If you start a brand new game, the Nords consider Ismirala castle theirs, and is the reason they initially start a war with the Vaegirs." Anyone...

What do you Enjoy about the Game?

The new "Personal Refuge" also makes a more logical place to start your conquest for world domination without having to be tricksy with your fiefs as a lord. I like it!

Which castles do initially start wars between factions?

That sounds like the exact phrasing used. I found the part of the discussion i remember (who would win if calradia is left to it's own without player interference), but couldn't find the post. But that answers my question about knudarr and almerra castle. Thank you o' wise one

    RE: Help with new factions

TXT editing i really just functional for tweaking. I recommend taking the time to learn some basic python. You dont need to know much to follow tutorials. Start here: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,240255.0.html to understand the module system and how it works, then go here: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,111706.0.html

Which castles do initially start wars between factions?

I remember reading a post, don't think it was a thread, about maybe 3-4 years ago about which fiefs both factions claim as their own in order to initially start wars in Calradia. 2 days of searching yelds only frustration. Anyone remeber this post or know the answer? :D

    Marshal sucks

The better your relations with lords, the bigger odds of them turning up. At least, thats how it worked in warband.

    My king is imprisoned!

He should be ransomed sooner or later. If you cant take the city, you just have to wait. I don't think WFaS has the "Rescue imprisoned lord" quest.

    SLOW DOWN BANDITS

Have yourself or a companion invest points in path-finding, keep 3-6 horses in your inventory to counteract the weight of your inventory, have less infantry and more cavalry, consider giving troops horses even though they won't fight on them.

    Fire and Sword bug?

I have no good answer to you. If it wasn't in their inventory when you defeated them, it may be because wither or not you get your items back is random, or it is not implementet in WFaS. Save before you win the battle against them, and try a few times, and if you never get you equipment back, your probably not going to.

and anathor question. if i fall in battle i loose alway all my weapons and if i follow my enemys and win against them my weapons are not in their inventory why is it so?

I think you get random loot when you win a battle. Also, if you have troops or companion with you, they take some of the loot before you get the option to take some. But the companions and troops don't get the loot, it just vanishes.

    Fire and Sword bug?

When I got the quest after loosing, I think I just had to rest in the city. I don't think I had to talk to anyone.

    Fire and Sword bug?

You should get a quest that you need to rest for a few days (5?), if you don't, i think you loose stats.

Did you insult the tavern drunk and loose the fight against him and his two friends?

    Companions leaving on a whim?!

They (vaguely) tell you at the end why they leave. There are 3 things they say: Unhappy about your choice of companions, your leadership and state of affairs. The main thing you must keep in mind is that they don't get along with certain companions. Certain events affect the state of affairs. Like looting vilages, having no food, losing battles. I'm not sure what affects their approval of your leadership. Losing and winning battles, I guess.

If you don't feel like playing the matchmaker, you can disable this system with the program called TweakMB. Check out the sticky called TweakMB for more info. It allows you to add a dialogue in which you tell them that they can only leave once they die, either in battle or by your hand!  But seriously, they are deserting and stealing your expensive gear in the process, so it's not like they don't deserve such threats... If I could, I would impale one of them to show them what I do with deserters, like Vlad the Impaler did. That would teach them!

I have already used TweakMB to disable companions from entering the "leave party dialogue", so they should not be able to. What I found strange about the way he left was that he explicably said that he was content with the state of affairs. And what i was wondering is if WFaS actually implemented a new companion feature, where they leave the party now and then to do their own things.

EDIT: I have played for more than 100 days with all companions. They whine and sob and I tell them to STFU and man/woman up! No one has left until now. I it doesn't look related.

TweakMB doesn't seem to be bulletproof. I have to enable the Add Dialogue option, which allows me to threaten the companions who try to leave. That's the only way for me to make sure no one ever leaves because every now and then they will still try to. But it seems that after I threaten them, they turn completely loyal to me and they love me so much that they don't bother leaving anymore.

Hmm.. seems like I should have stripped him of his clothes and sent him into the fray a bit earlier then. Always useful to set examples of which conducts that won't be accepted in my army. Thank you, will be threatening from now on

I have indeed paid a guy to tell me where he was. I did know where he was but didn't go find him.
I lost him in Sweden. So i guess that's not it.

Did you wait many days before you paid him to tell you where he was?

Campaign Map Movement Speeds Painfully Slow?

I've found that 5-6 horses in the inventory is good for my speed when just carrying food for my troops or hauling merchandise.
But if you you are escorting your own caravan, then you are moving at snail speed either way. opposite logic to normal caravan escorts.

I've had him leave too. Perhaps he leaves when you visit a certain place.

He left me at the southwestern part off the map, don't recall the name of the fortress.. hmmm.. Cossacks/Sweds border..

Have you tried hunting him down? I have some hope that he will appear in the travelers list after some days. But I haven't played since he left. I just ran to the forums to seek wisdom and like minded souls bearing the same tragic loss. Will play some more this afternoon. He better HOPE i don't find him!

Oh the dastardly fiends! How dare they pray in the presence or immediate vicinity of those who are weak!

You jest, whilst farmers, women and children suffer from the oppressing hand of those with a stronger shield arm. Who will take upon the responsibility of correcting such actions if not us? Go to your lands and be the hero the commoners pray for! You can do it!
He was poking fun because you used "pray" (as in, pray to God) rather than "prey" (as in, pick on the weak)

Edit: And apparently I'm too obtuse (or groggy - yea, that's it!) to miss the counter jest.

Oh , I shall beg his forgiveness then. counter jest not intended but may be interpreted
