    In every battles with more than twenty warriors I get a CTD.

    I am playing with the bests graphics on Windows 7.

    Nice mod, probably the best looking one and the most well made I have ever played, if it weren't for those major bugs.

    Tu veux dire le pack que j'ai fait il y a quelque mois ? Il y manque surement la texture epee2.dds ou bien les nouvelles textures n'ont pas été appliquées dans le module_info.txt lorsque tu as créé ton nouveau module.
    Regardes avec le brf editor si  cette textures y est. Si elle n'y est pas, tu devras télécharger un autre de mes module (le + récent fera l'affaire) et y rajouter la texture manquante.
    Pour tout ce qui est des manipulations avec le brf editor ou de la création d'un nouveau module, réfère toi aux tutoriaux de ce forums. Quoiqu'en anglais, ils sont très complets.

    About those armors they need a lot of work again to be nice in-game. I tried to rig them and managed to import them but they looked weird and the textures were really bad. I will try again, maybe soon but I am quite not sure I'll end up with what I want in the next releases.
    Anyway, it took me some time to be able to make some nice wepons, so it's logical you'll have to be patient before seeing some of my armors in modules.

    Beware to give propper credits in your mods if you use my items. Some modders forget to name their sources, or  don't give credits to the right author. It's the least you can do for me and for any other modder who gives his creation freely.

    I forgot I once called a Duke Mod 4.0 .....
    I made so much versions of my mod so I lost their names. This one is from 2006 and for version 0.751. I don't even have a copy of it on my computer.

    It is stupid I didn,t notice it. As I said, my mod saw so much changes and adjustment. I was better not to keep the same 'Dukes and Mercenaries' name each time I make a new version. I apologize for all confusions.

    My last mod is in fact the 2.0. wich comes after the 1.2 version.

    No it's far from completed. I called it 2.0 because I didn't know what other name to give it. I was lost a bit in all my previous versions' names so...2.0 is for a new start  :wink:
    I wasn't able to release it in the Cartographer Guild....Am I dumb or is there no link to post a new topic to it ?

    About your first impressions and comments :  at first my thanks  :grin: you're kind everyone. Than I would say 'don't panic'...It is not that tough, you just need a little practice and some strategies.
    :arrow: Keep your avatar on horse for the first levels : it's perfect to dispatch the easy to kill shooters and looters.
    :arrow: Stay away from polearm users !!!!!! Let them come to your arquebusiers.
    :arrow: Kill the ennemies leaders yourself because they're worth lot of xp points
    :arrow: Put some point in training skills
    :arrow: Don't join the Khergit, use them to gain renown and fortune while they're still underpowered

    It is the first version, pretty rough and as I am alone doing it (like so many modders) I as I am not the so bright programmer I wish to be (in fact I no nothing about programming...) it is what it is : a simple mod with lots of weapons to kick asses.

    Well, banded armor is clearly my favorite vanilla item and the one that fits the more the look of my weapons. The brigandine is also good looking. In future versions I will probably try re-texturing some of them

    About pistols, nice thought  :???: I should look into it. They're some other models I wish to make (look at my new texture sheets with the brf editor) but for now, like lots of my weapons the look doesn't exactly fit the lenght/damage/speed modifiers. As you may know it requires lots of balance work and testing. But you are all there for it, to test this mod,  and I appreciate a lot when you point the problems to me.

    Instalation:
    - just unrar and copy it to your M&B/Modules folder. It's a stand alone mode which is ment to be played along with the original Luigi's release. It's not save compatible. Generaly it adds to Luigi's masterpiece more units and makes things a little more difficult. Enjoy

    I don't know how to solve this loot problem, nor do I know how Vista can crash the game...Maybe it is because of the way I made the mod. With Python I would probably be able to solve some of these prob'.

    For the moment my work is centered on making new meshes ( I always begin like this) and I have not openen Python yet to make the coding. I plan on working on a full gothic armor soon.

    Delete it...it's a bad item. I don't know why I keep it anyway.

    Nice work you've done. Probably not compatible with old saved games, or changes won't show.

    Here are the changes:
    - Swadian Lords reequiped (mostly helmets)
    - Rhodok Lords reequpied (mostly helmets)
    - Vaegirs Lords totaly reequiped (new armor, helmets and gauntlets)
    - Nord Lords only couple changed helmets
    - Kings Haralus, Geareth and Yarolek reequpied
    - all claimants better equiped
    - Swadian Archers and Swadian Sharpshooters tweeked a little bit (archers have heraldic armor with tabard while sharpshooters with surcoat, no more brigantine)
    - Khergit Horse Archer added boots which were missing
    - Sea Raides have more armor and some hallberds
    - Trainers have better cloths (trainer near Jelkala is dressed like Rhodok heavy infantry, rest just some armor)
    - Manhunters renamed into Militia Patrol and the order in the patrol is tweeked so the Land Lord comes first and the recruits last
    - Ordinary and Unremarkable townsmen reeqiuped so they seem townsmen (from the follow the spy mission)
    - little picture in the start menu has the name of the mod
    - warrider logo has the name of the mod but its done badly and it has a black edges (but its cool anyways)

    Thats it I think. I will check it some more incase I missed something.

    But here is another question. I read that before this mod had the Inqusiton party. So I wanted to add an elite bloodthursty enemy in the shape of Inquisition. So I created 3 new units. Inquisitor, Master Inquisitor and Inquisitor Lord. Take a look:









    I know how to add them in the existing party but I don't know how to create one (party I mean. I tryed but they don't show up. What do you think? I thought they would be really rare but very dangerous.

    If you don't mind, we'll call it simply ''Nickaltman Version''  to be sure no-one thinks its an other mod.
    I haven't tried editing the parties .txt, I don't think you'll manage to create a new one with the troop editor though. Try your hand on Python, its pretty simple and offers lots of possibility. But you,ll have to start from scratch. Or, and I am not sure it works, begin a new mod with Python (keep yours in an safe folder) add only new parties and party_templates and create new troops type, don't assign them equipment. Then 'build' it. In the troop.txt of this mod, delete the old troops references, copy over the ones from your version of D&M.Save. Copy over the items.txt. Open the troop editor, update your new tropps there, the new parties template too. Save . Don't forget to add the ressources (brf) and the textures and be sure the mod will read them. If you make changes with Python and build it, it will erase your edited text so always make copies. I think it will work.

    About Inquisition, maybe they should have some 'crusader style' equipment more than horned helms . Add some more shields and swords from my other mods or weapons pack (beware same named weapons can have different meshes as I update them often  :!:) and try some combination. Your Inquisition look smore like Dark Knights (or the Rhodock Templar I made). But if you want to give this kind of a Bad ass, instopable brutal warrior of God look, that is perfect  :grin:

    Damn you. Now I discovered troop editor. When I fixed Khergit Horse Archer I decided to finish what you didn't in the mod.
    You changed the troops but not the Lords.
    So I decided to "fix" the Lords and Kings with new equipment. So basicaly I left Nord and Khergit lords alone cause their gear is OK with the troops.

    I changed almost all Vaegir lords cause they don't fit with the new image of Vaegir army. Also I added mostly new helmets for Swadians and Rhodoks to fit the image of their armys. Also some minor armour changes. I didn't change wepons. Somewhere I also changed civil outfit to be more noble.

    I changed the name of Manhunters to Militia Patrol that suits them better. Also the order of the tropps inside. First Land Lord, then sergeants, halebardiers and then recruits.

    I added some more amour for Sea Raiders to make them stronger like other bandits. Also gave the a couple halbards to chalenge calvary.

    That's all. Now it kindda feels more comlete. If you would consider to be an add on on this mod it would be great. I will upload the files.  :shock:

    Cool !.  You are free to put a link here and call it '' MD&MM Nickaltman Version'' or something like this. If you do so, I will put this link on thre first page too. Just be sure to make clear to downloaders that it is an alternative to my mod. That is a good idea to do things like that. Keep learning to mod, maybe we'll work together...

    You are right with the lower half. I manage to import it in game, but the texture is f...ed up, the rigging not good and the proportions. It is a hard work. I will continue making meshes, using a combination of Vanillas' armor with new textures and new objects.

    by the way : RIGGER NEEDED !!!

    Not a bug.Khergit horsemen don't like boots. They prefer to feel the softeness of their horses' skin and their muscles moving  under their naked feet. Also they have nothing under their armors as they like to feel the....the pain.

    No just jocking . It is a stupid error I made and forgot to correct. Can be corrected easilly with the troop editor (see first post for links) .Open the troop.txt with the editor,  add some boots, then update the file and save. Saddly, I think you'll have to begin a new game to see the changes. Sorry for this.
